We loved our stay! The house was even more beautiful that the pictures show. Perfectly clean and a really good location in relation to downtown Asheville.
We came for a girls trip to get away. The house was lovely! Beautiful on the inside and the game room and fire pit were perfect! The host was very responsive to our messages and helped us throughout the weekend. Would highly recommend staying here!
This property was beautiful! There were moments of tranquility and peace and there were moments of memory sharing and laughter. The hot tub and fire pit were definitely a bonus!
The property was spotless, which isn't always the case with pet-friendly rental properties. The kitchen was well-stocked with the basics and beyond. Unless you have a favorite cooking appliance/utensil, I can't imagine what you would need to bring. The bedrooms were all spacious with comfortable beds. The cabin comfortable and charming. My son loved his privacy. All photos of the property were accurate. The wifi was generally good. The Caroliana Mornings' website suggested that there would be limited dishwasher and washing machine soap pods. Fortunately, there was plenty. There was also plenty of toilet paper and trash bags contrary to what the website said. What a relief! The road leading to the house is a gravel road with a few dips. As long as you have an SUV or larger car/truck, you'll be fine. You definitely will need some clearance.
Beautiful home, great setup to enjoy family fun with game room that opens to fire pit area. John was very responsive and quick to address an issue with a/c. Children enjoy walk to farm to see animals and we got a couple glimpses of a bear. Fresh eggs were enjoyed by all.
This was a great place for our family’s mini-reunion of 8 during Thanksgiving week! The Lodge was clean and spacious. We loved walking the trails on the property, visiting the farm and animals, enjoying fresh eggs for breakfast, and enjoying the fireplace on one cold rainy day (wood provided). It is close enough to Asheville to do all it has to do fairly easily and still enjoy staying in a more rustic environment. Loved it!
This house was perfect for our girls weekend in Asheville. We had people driving in from a few different places and no one had issues with the directions/address provided. We had plenty of space and loved the layout of the home. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the extra amenities, like the ping pong table, firepit, and hot tub. We all wished we had planned to stay a few more days!!
Our stay at The Lodge was excellent! The farm fresh basket of eggs were delicious as well as the basket of goodies. The trails near the property are challenging and well maintained. The Lodge itself is very charming, with a great hot tub and outdoor fire pit. The Lodge has two large fireplaces inside and a very comfortable living room. We enjoyed the pocket doors and a great kitchen. The location to Asheville is very convenient when you want to go downtown.
We really loved our stay. Having the animals nearby was so fun, and the fresh eggs were tasty. We enjoyed the hikes nearby. Most of all I appreciated the relaxing feeling of the house. It was nice to not have to buy things like dishwasher detergent, shampoo/conditioner, and little things that you always end up having to buy and hardly use. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the furnishings and linens. And also the beautiful Forest location. However it was difficult to find the place as it appeared to be a “rugged” driveway/road and we weren’t expecting that. Perhaps add more detail of the driveway being a gravel and rugged driveway. Thank you.
Wonderful home for us while in area for our son's wedding
8 adults, all seniors in town for our son's wedding. House was fantastic. We all loved it. Had almost everything we would need. Rooms are large and well decorated. We did wish that at least 1 bathroom had grab bars. All agreed we could and wojld rry to stay here again if in the area.
Our family of all adults had a wonderful time!
The pictures do not do this place justice honestly.
It has much more space and is just beautiful.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were amazing along with the living space.
Super clean and had everything we needed.
Kitchen was well stocked.
Enjoyed the little farm and fresh eggs.
Finished our days in the garage playing ping pong and enjoying the hot tub.
Stay here - you will love it !
The house was great!! We came with 2 couples and 2 singles. We really enjoyed the fire pit and ping pong table. We took an uber into Asheville for one of our days. the uber was about $45 and 18 minutes. The kitchen had everything that we needed and the host provided a very nice welcome gift. We took the trails and met the farm animals. Overall, I would stay there again.
We absolutely loved The Lodge for our annual “friends retreat!” The house was spacious, well equipped, nicely furnished and in a great location - close, but not too close to Asheville. We enjoyed a walk around the trails, visiting the critters at the little farm, fresh delicious eggs!, the fireplace and the clean working grill - all in 3 days! Only downside was with using the fireplace, the primary br got pretty smoky smelling. Would highly recommend a stay there though if you are looking for a big home in a wooded area.
House was clean, wish there were rugs because floors are very noisy, we had infants so parents up at all hours of the night woke up the other housemates from squeaky floors. Trails on the property and the farm were a blast for the kids. Would be fun if the kids could feed the goats /chickens more, the one day they did that they were in HEAVEN! House initially didn't have sufficient garbage bags or paper products but housekeeping did drop off missing items. Overall, a nice place for a family trip!
My friends and I absolutely loved staying here! We came to Asheville for a “moms weekend away” and it was a dream! We had so much fun! The house was exceptionally clean. We all wore white socks basically the entire weekend around the house and our socks were still white hours later! That’s pretty much unheard of! We enjoyed the fire outside! The little mini farm at the front of the property with the goats, chickens and llama was so precious and fun to visit. It was about 20 minutes to the Biltmore, which was very convenient. I will say, the service is very spotty at the house. Luckily we were just there to have fun together so we didn’t really need cell service. We saw 4 bears upon arrival, so definitely be cautious of that! Beautiful property!!
