The Veranda Log Cabin

Enjoy nature's beauty and cool mountain breezes in the authentic log cabin on 25 wooded acre's. Walk on the many trails that meander through the property some of which lead to the pond and creek. Listen to the relaxing sound of the creek or go for a swim in the spring fed pond. You can relax on the veranda which overlooks the property and is setup for 3 hammocks. Enjoy the fire pit while making smores. Cook your dinner on the gas grill on the large porch. Watch nature all around you, wild turkey's, fox, deer, and birds.
The cabin has been completely remodeled in the last couple years with new modern kitchen, hardwood floors, bathrooms, beds, couch, and flat screen TV.
Huge master suite upstairs with vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan, A/C, heart of pine floors, Queen pillow top bed, tub and shower.
Downstairs has a modern kitchen with all new appliances, bunk beds, Leather couch, 46' flat screen TV with DVD player and Spectrum fiber internet with Roku, 1/2 bath, ceiling fan, A/C and propane heat.
Get away from it all and still be only 20 minutes to downtown Hendersonville. Minutes from many area attractions like, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Apple Valley, Biltmore Mansion, Pisgah National Forest, Flat Rock Playhouse, Dupont Forest, and Asheville.

A very remote and secluded place, exactly what you look for in a cabin, or at least what we look for. The scenery on the way there is beautiful; my daughters loved it. The cabin was very clean except for some animal hair, I think dog hair, on the bed sheets, even though the rules state that animals are not allowed on the furniture or beds. My husband is a bit sensitive to dog hair, so... well... aside from that, everything was fine, and the host was very attentive and friendly the whole time.

Great stay great cabin

My wife, dog, and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was comfortable and clean and located near a lot of biking and hiking trails. WI-FI didn’t really work but the tv had cable for down time in the evenings. Great place would stay again.

Weekend in the woods

Very comfortable and secluded location. Kitchen is well stocked with essentials for cooking and preparing meals. Plenty of activities in the area to keep busy including the waterfalls that we hiked to and visited

The accommodations were just fine. The cabin had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the porch with the overhead ceiling fan. The bedroom was roomy and the bed very comfortable. Down the mountain a lot of rooster crowing and dog barking. Didn't bother me much 'cause I'm a country boy.

First Mother, son vacation in over 20 years and we had a great time! The cabin was perfect for us and my dog. Took my dog her bed and she was very comfy. Nice and peaceful and close to all we wanted to do and see. My son Mountain Bikes and I hike. He hiked with me the first few days and then he rode on the trails, back and forth to me, while I hiked them with my dog. Shuttled him a couple times for a couple of the trails. I even actually rode one of his mountain bikes. The shower felt great after our busy days. Even when had guest in the other two places on the property for a couple nights, it was still peaceful. Had all the amenities we needed. Don't be concerned about what some have reported about the driveway, it is steep but very doable, we had Zero problems driving it every day. Only bad thing, and it wasn't bad, was it was hard to find since we initially came in at night. The directions from the owner were great or we probably would have missed the turn into the driveway. After the first time, no problem finding it, even in the dark.10 out of 10 would stay again! Bonus, everyone we encountered everywhere we went was very nice. Didn't want to leave!
