About this property

Private 2 BR Home with Yard. 10 min to Downtown!

  • Overview: 17 Dove is a small 2-bedroom home just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. The home features a fenced in yard and stellar views. The hot tub is no longer operational and will be removed on 11/10. We are weighing our options on purchasing a new one. Your also just 5 minutes from Haywood St in West Asheville and 30 minutes from great hiking. The home is small, but spacious and stylish with anything you may need for a relaxing vacation. Dogs under 30lbs are welcomed with an additional $50 fee per pet.

    Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire 1.2 acres and entire home. The property is half wooded and half open lawn.

    Interaction With Guests: We typically do not meet guests but are always available by phone.

    Other Details: The property is right next to a horse pasture which houses 5-7 horses. They’re not our horses to interact with, but in our experience they’re friendly.

    Neighborhood Description: The home sits atop a small hill on a gravel road. There are several houses on the gravel road including 17 Dove. The home is generally secluded from the other residents on the road.

    Getting Around: Guests will need a vehicle to access the property. We do not advise walking anywhere from the home as the roads are busy without sidewalks.

Exactly what we were looking for! The property was perfect for our small breed dog: nicely secluded yet close to everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Austin was a great host who communicated quickly, even though we didn’t have any issues!

A cozy little cottage with excellent views of the nearby mountains. Easy to get in, simple instructions for use of the space, simple departure instructions. Made use of the disc golf goal and had a chance to show my kids how to play. Was also able to see a bunch of fireflies in the evening and that was exciting for the kids too. Caught one for them to get a better look and learn more about the insect. Less than 10 mins to grocery, restaurant, Sam's Club and interstate. If I head back to Asheville I would rather stay here than a fancy hotel. A across the board.

We have been renting vacation rentals for more than 30 years and this is one of our favorites so far. It was in the right place and the right size for 2 seniors and 2 standard poodles. The house was clean and the king bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the deck and the yard. The dogs were impressed with the neighbor's chickens and the local turkeys. It is the closest to town we've stayed and that was nice. We spent a lot of time at the local breweries and restaurants and parks. The dogs were welcome almost every where we went. We were sad to see the damage from the floods and happy to see how far the community has come in recovering. We look forward to another visit soon.

Wasn’t advised on how to enter property until less than 8 hours before check-in. Sent messages the day before which went unanswered. Definitely put a damper on enjoying the trip and we had to postpone departure time.Other than that it was a peaceful place with good access to Asheville attractions.
