Asheville is such a cool city. I was walking down the street and I came upon this really cool wall. Asheville fits into the stereotype of Appalachia in a unique way. Appalachia doesn't exactly fit into the modern, mainstream culture. Asheville fits into that non-conforming mold.

Asheville is also home to some pretty unique music. A lot of this music has roots in traditional "Appalachian" music, using instruments such as the banjo and mandolin. I associate this alternate art with the alternate music because they both call Asheville and the Appalachian mountains home. #appalachianechoes

Nothing like walking into a shop and asking for a sampler of their favorite smokey delights, then walking out later with a selection of 4 , including tasso, several sausages and some rib bones and a pig knuckle for the dogs. PJ has an amazing business that I would definitely put on my 100 mile gottagoto radar. #gottagoto.
