About this property
Arrowtown Gem - Classic Arrowtown Cottage.
Just renovated with brand new kitchen etc. new bedroom images up soon! This classic Arrowtown cottage has enjoyed many years of hosting happy, satisfied guests - please read our reviews. Arrowtown Gem is super sunny, simply yet stylishly furnished and is located an easy 10 minute stroll into the main town area of Arrowtown.
Voted New Zealand’s most beautiful small town 2020 (Keep NZ Beautiful) Arrowtown offers a huge array of cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars, family friendly pubs, fashion stores, galleries, collectables with even a boutique cinema to enjoy. With an abundance of beautiful wineries located within 10 to 20 minutes drive there’s plenty of choice for wine lovers too.
For the more active minded it is located a few minutes ride to the start of the Queenstown Bike Trail and a variety of walks that start from the Arrow River, for both the leisurely stroller and serious hiker.
If you are a skier Coronet Peak skifield is 20 minutes drive away and Cardrona or the Snow Park are approximately 30 minutes drive and for golfers there are 2 beautiful courses located within 5 minutes drive. Lake Hayes is located 10 minutes drive away - perfect for swimming, sailing, paddle boarding and fishing.
The cottage has small but well layed out open plan living with French doors onto a large deck and a cosy booth style dining room. It is fully insulated and has both gas/electric heating and a wood burner (wood provided). Please note that I have ticked the 'heatpump - aircon' section for reason we have a great push button convection heating source but this system does not also cool.
The cottage is fully fenced, enjoys all day sun and is quiet and private, off the main road, with lovely views out over the Arrowtown hills from the large deck and outdoor dining/BBQ area. Rustic outdoor sheds provide the perfect place to store your skis and bikes.
The first bedroom is large with a raised timber ceiling, french doors opening onto the deck, is set up with 2 single beds and has a wardrobe. The beds can easily be pushed together and for stays of 7 days or longer we can do a full conversion to a superking bed on request. The second bedroom is smaller and has 1 queen bed and a small storage cupboard.
The house is extremely cosy, accented with a hint of retro design and will offer two couples, three singles or a family of four, a wonderful break in the sought after location of Arrowtown.
Dogs with considerate owners are most welcome with prior approval.

We had a lovely week staying at this property. Very convenient to all the restaurants in Arrowtown and just a short drive to Frankton shops, QT and the Remarks for skiing.
This place was perfect for our holiday. We’ve stayed at a few places in Arrowtown over the years and this would be our favourite. Everything we needed, great location, comfortable and so clean. Many thanks - we hope to return!
We enjoyed having a nice quiet private place to relax. Lovely outdoor space with table and chairs and very close to the river walk. All the ammenities to have a comfortable visit and thank you for accomodating our super king request. Loved our stay- thank you!
Neat little bach, fully fenced and private. Not large, but big enough. Dog friendly which is a bonus and very close to everything Arrowtown has to offer. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.
We stayed as a family and found the wee cottage to be cute with a nice vibe. It's a short walk into the centre of Arrowtown for coffee and close to Coronet Peak for skiing. The terrace was a sunny spot to hang out and read. An enjoyable stay, thanks.

Cozy comfort
The outside photo of the batch is an entre to the main course of this lovely batch. Plenty of space, well equipped and really central.
The house was perfect for our needs, great location for walking into Arrowtown, bus stop nearby if you wanted to go into Queenstown.
The accommodation was really comfy & homely with outdoor space.
I enjoyed sitting outside & observing the light changes on the hillside. Very relaxing. Great communication with owner too.
A wonderful homely place to stay a short walk from Arrowtown’s attractions. The kitchen has plenty of implements, cookware, plateware, and a couple of spices, teas and sugar. Communication with Rachelle was quick and easy, when needed.
A fantastic wee gem in Arrowtown. The place was as described in the listing. Compact but very comfortable for a family of 4. Being safe and fully fenced for our Labrador was a huge relief. Well equipped with a lovely fire for the cooler nights. We loved our stay - would definitely recommend and we'll return for sure. Thank you.
Rachelle is very quick in responding to any questions, requests or problems. She couldn't make this any easier :)Tucked away behind another property, it is very quiet, neighbours were considerate - we took my elderly parents for part of the stay and they were thankful for the quiet break as well.Fantastic water pressure! We were surprised. Everything you need for a stay. There is even a great coffee cart 500m along the road outside the camping ground so no need to go into town.
Absolutely loved this cottage, great stay with my parents who are visiting from the UK. Super comfortable beds too. Also great place for my little dog to stay too.
