Le Mazet des Oliviers.

Ideal for discovering the riches of Provence, the Roman history of southern France and the natural beauty of the Camargue, the mazet des oliviers is a peaceful and warm place. At the edge of the swimming pool or on the shaded terrace, you will enjoy moments of relaxation. By tasting regional dishes and contemplating the view of the Alpilles chain, you will find your well-being...
Built in an old mazet, the recently renovated house has three spacious bedrooms and a large kitchen / dining room open to the living room. The 80m2 terrace overlooks the swimming pool, separated by a hedge, with a breathtaking view of the Alpilles. Around the swimming pool, redone in 2019, you can relax in the deck chairs under the Camargue reed parasols.
Arriving at the house, we cross the field of olive trees, where our olive oil comes from, where we can walk in the evening in the cool, or go visit the chickens, ducks and peacocks a little more loin.

5km from Fontvieille and 10km from Arles, you can find everything in the area (bakeries, markets, shops, restaurants, monuments and historical sites...) and within a radius of 10km you can easily discover the Alpilles (les Baux de Provence, Saint Rémy, Eygalières), and 40km away the Camargue (the Saintes Maries de la mer, Aigues Mortes as well as the whole natural park) and other cities (Avignon and Nîmes, and a little further, Aix-en- Provence and Montpellier).

Swimming pool secured with barrier.

Beautiful Location
Excellent location to explore Provence. Very quiet and serene. Property is perfect for two couples. It is well equipped for cooking and the outdoor seating area was perfect for alfresco dinning. Keep in mind it is a country house and therefore is a little rough in places. Katie, Out host, was very helpful.

Lovely stay in Arles
We had a lovely stay near Arles at this home. The olive grove is gorgeous and the location is convenient to Arles (15-20 min drive) and Fontveille (5 min drive). Communication with Katie and Nasser was excellent and they resolved any issues immediately. This location is good for two couples or a family. We enjoyed the outdoor space and pool and everything was as described.

In the Olive Groves
Communication and check in was wonderful. The kitchen was a great place to cook. They provided us with some Olive Oil from their groves which we used when cooking dinner - delicious! The outdoor hang area is a genuinely fantastic place to relax, read, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the scenery of being nestled within the olives! There was a kitty we fell in love with who came like clockwork every night to say hello. The roosters crow in the morning reminding us who's boss in the best of ways! We stayed in the main bedroom and that was a nice comfortable room. We did not come with Shampoo/Conditioner/Shower Soap and we had to ask for it so you may wish to bring your own. Wifi was slow, letting you know you should do more hanging with each other and less internetting :). The pool, while inviting, is not heated, so jump in fast!

Great Relaxing Base
We spent a lovely week in Katie and Nasser’s house. The property is in a great rural location and is very private and quiet. However is well located for exploring the surrounding areas, the Alpilles, Camargue, Arles, saint Rémy, Marseille are all easy to reach. Katie and Nasser were very helpful and supplied a wealth of information regarding the area and restaurants etc (of which there are many great ones) However we were just as happy to spend days by the pool and evenings by the BBQ at the house! Thanks for everything! Hope to be back again!

A memorable week in Provence
A perfect country home from which to explore Provence. Easy access to Arles and the charms of Fontvieille with its great Friday market, food stores, bakery and a variety of restaurants both for every day fare or a special occasion. This is a great place for a family gathering including young children. It has a fantastic patio area to read, eat, cook or simply enjoy the stunning views. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful and I would recommend this property without reserevation as a great place to stay. .

Wonderful stay in Provence
What more can we say other than we loved everything about our stay at the wonderful Olive Farm home. First, our hosts were amazing. Katie and Nassar provided great information both about the property and places to visit and eat, communicated with us before and during our stay, and overall provided a warm and welcoming stay. It was very helpful for us that Katie speaks English as well. It is peaceful away from the city but close enough to get several places easy by car. It is a lovely part of France and a great place to experience Provence. The pictures accurately represented the property. The kitchen was well equipped to do the basic cooking we wanted. We would say that the two main bedrooms would be fine for two couples and the third bedroom attached to one great for children but maybe not for a third couple but that was just our impression of it. Thank you Katie and Nassar for a wonderful week. Our only regret is it was not two weeks. We would definitely come back here to stay again.

Provence - August/September 2019
We stayed for a month and Katie and Nasser were great hosts. They responded to all of our questions and concerns promptly! They were a wealth of knowledge about the area. Katie speaks both French and English. Nasser is a master at fixing things and has a great vision for the property. House definitely has a farmhouse feel with chickens, rooster, geese and a peacock. Pros: 1. View of the Alpes and Baux valley from terrace is exceptional, patio furniture was large and comfortable. 2. Location offers easy access to the sights in Provence. Most within an hour drive. 3. Kitchen appliances worked well. 4. Quiet, relaxing. Night skies offered great views of Milky Way and other constellations. 5. Climate reminds you of Hawaii, with warm temps and low humidity. 6. Washing machine was a great convenience, albeit it small it worked well. If a dryer is needed the owners have one to use. 7. House easily accommodates 2 couples. You must go through the second bedroom to get to the third would be difficult for 3 couples. 8. Location privacy is exceptional. 9. Beds were comfortable. 10. Air Conditioners available but seldom needed. 11. Pool has been refurbished and Nasser maintains it to a very high standard. We enjoyed using the pool, however, the area around the pool needs attention. There are 2 large holes at one end that need to be filled (could be a safety issue), The grass is very sparse, making the area dusty and not pleasant to have a snack or drink by the pool. The sun loungers need to be refinished, the wood is split and splintery and cushions are stained and worn. Cons: 1. Kitchen could be better equipped. Not a problem if you don't intend to cook any meals. 2. Pantry, drawers and lower cabinets need to be cleaned. 3. Furniture in living room was in need of a little love! 4. Fireplace is nonfunctional, but could be more attractive if it were cleaned. 5. Allowing for the fact that the house is in the middle of an olive grove, you are bound to have some insects. But an ant infestation is unacceptable. From day 1 there were large numbers of ants that came out at night in 2 locations on the ceiling. For2 weeks we were troubled with flying ants. There were piles of them each morning on the floor. Nasser did work very hard to address the problem, but was not entirely successful. These negatives do not out way the positives but are meant as constructive feedback. We would come back and would recommend property to others. Dick and Claudia

Very elegant in a beautiful rural location, well appointed, perhaps a few things to update
A lovely house in a fine location for exploring western Provence. Very elegant. Nice pool, perhaps could be smartened up a bit and perhaps some soft furnishings might be renewed. Well-equipped kitchen. All rooms large and airy. The third bedroom accessed through the second, so better for a family than a group of friends. Plenty of outside sunny space, but also good shaded areas and wonderful terrace. Owners charming and helpful.
