"Das Haus befindet sich oben in den Bergen und hat einen tollen Blick zum Meer (was auf Madeira nicht schwer ist). Es ist ein ehemaliges Wohnhaus, sehr geräumig mit schönem Poolbereich. Ganz ruhig gelegen in einer Sackgasse. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und bedarf an einigen Stellen einer Erneuerung. Die Küche könnte mehr Geschirr, Töpfe und Besteck enthalten. Es empfiehlt sich, ein scharfes Messer mitzubringen. Wenn das Haus länger nicht bewohnt ist ( wie in unserem Fall),...

"We enjoyed our stay at Tropical Villa. The villa is located uphill in a quiet neighbourhood and it was lovely to sit outside on an evening looking out to sea and watching the stars come out. "The hotel is fairly high up the hillside, so the drive up is exciting! The hotel itself is amazing. We had a great corner room and balcony with amazing sea and valley views. The staff were very friendly. The only downside was the restaurant was only open for breakfast during our stay, so dinners had to be elsewhere. "

"Lovely atmosphere without any kids. The hotel was fully booked but didn't feel crowded. The deluxe room was worth it - lovely coffee from the coffee machine and a little bar/fridge & robes. The location was a short way uphill out of the town but in a nice area and not a long walk for anyone with reasonable fitness, There were plenty of buses. You could walk downhill to a bus stop and get off further uphill on the way back. There was also a hotel minibus into the town. We had a great stay! "
