"If I could give 6 stars, I absolutely would.
What impressed me the most wasn’t just the beautiful hotel—it was the exceptional staff. They work like a hive of bees: perfectly coordinated, constantly communicating, and genuinely focused on making every guest’s experience outstanding. You can tell they support one another seamlessly, which translates into incredible service for their customers.
Every time I asked for anything, the response was always the same: “Of course!” It wasn’t just a polite phrase—it reflected a genuine attitude. They always followed through on their promise, and that simple expression made me feel valued as a guest.
One experience truly stood out. Someone had parked behind my car, blocking me in. Instead of simply apologizing, several staff members immediately jumped into action. They searched for the owner’s contact information, visited nearby businesses to see if anyone recognized the vehicle, and even contacted the owner’s insurance company in an effort to locate them. I’ve traveled extensively, and I have never experienced this level of dedication and teamwork.
Vanoro Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. If you’re visiting Thessaloniki, don’t hesitate to book your stay here. You won’t regret it."
"The Bad: The hotel failed to reply to multiple Expedia messages regarding a ferry terminal pickup. Communication is paramount. Because of this silence, my wife and I had to walk half a mile at 9:40 PM from the furthest pier, tired and carrying heavy luggage in an unfamiliar city.
The Good: The hotel's recovery was outstanding. The next day, Magda the manager was genuinely concerned and went above and beyond to fix the reception lapse. She provided several complimentary drinks and paid for our airport taxi upon checkout.
The Property: The hotel itself is excellent. We enjoyed beautiful sea views, a very comfortable bed, and a great breakfast. Giannis at the rooftop bar deserves a special mention for his superb, 10/10 customer service.
Location: Perfectly situated. It is highly convenient for the ferries, city centre, and airport, with great bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. We would definitely stay here again."
"This is a superb hotel. Staff mostly helpful and friendly. A good and varied selection at breakfast. The pools are good, especially the rooftop one. It would have been nice to have longer opening hours.
What was a bit odd, was there was no balcony furniture. I asked about it and told it was available on request, so I requested it on day 2 of the holiday and told it would be put there during the day but it never appeared.
The free shuttle bus into town is a great gesture and we used it most days. It only takes 10 minutes."
