"Although the property is old, it is well-maintained. The room had a slight musty odor when we opened the door , but after running the A/C for an hour or so, the odor was pretty much gone. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful..very accommodating and helpful."

"To say that the Gibson Inn is a most charming respite is an understatement. The main inn, additional buildings, pool, restaurant and bars are simply wonderful. From the warm welcome from the attentive and accommodating staff yo the spacious, well-appointed accommodation … we were extremely pleased with our stay. The property is beautifully restored and extremely well maintained. The word immaculate describes each piece of furniture, inside and out. We stayed in the main house; which is replete with well cared for brass throughout. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The pool area is lovely. Poolside food and drink wonderful and convenient. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Cannot wait to return!!"

"We booked multiple rooms for a large family trip. The rooms were larger than expected, clean, comfortable, and had a full size refrigerator with small kitchenette. It was perfect! Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely book here again!"

"Wow, this home was absolutely perfect for our beach trip! The location is unbeatable, the beach is just steps away, making it incredibly convenient to take our dog back and forth, and the outdoor shower was a lifesaver for washing her off. We loved starting our mornings on the covered back patio; having a gate meant we could relax and drink our coffee while listening to the ocean with our dog completely safe. You also get an amazing water view from the back deck! Emily was a phenomenal host who truly thought of everything. You could literally just pack your clothes and show up. She provides all the beach supplies you could ever need, the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, and the entire home was spotless. We had the absolute best vacation and will definitely be back!"

"This property is in a great location with easy accessibility to the pool and beach. The boardwalks were being newly constructed while we were there and will really make the property so much better. The host was very responsive and friendly. The AC could use an update as we had to have service upon arrival, although they were very timely in coming to fix the problem. A few updates to the condo would really make this the perfect property for a wonderful vacation. Would definitely return to SGI and 300 Ocean Mile."

The Port Inn - Port St Joe, an Ascend Collection Hotel

"The Port Inn is a charming and welcoming respite with convenient parking and walkability to lovely shops and excellent dining. The staff were lovely, helpful and accommodating while the atmosphere was engaging. They included a very nice breakfast. I would gave given a 5-star; except that our particular room on the first floor was on the parking lot/pool side; with no little porch. The room (and bath;) while beautifully appointed, was terribly small. Its location near the lobby was quite noisy at 6 am; so much so it sounded as if we were in the lobby! We will return and ensure we are reserved an alternate room. It pains me to complain, but Rm 107 was not quite up to par."
