"It was a lovely stay- nice and clean. The only (small) downfalls were: 1) The batteries in the remote control ran out after the first day but we couldn’t open the back because it needed a little screw driver! Maybe it’s an idea to keep a set there?! 2) All the windows, except one little one, had curtains/a blind, which was annoying because there was a lack of privacy when the other guests were walking past, especially when moving between the bedroom and bathroom! 3) There was no oven tray....

"Check-In mit PIN-Code hat super geklappt, saubere Zimmer sehr modern ausgestattet, tolles Badezimmer- was will man mehr?! Frühstück leider nur SA/SO möglich !! Einziger Wermutstropfen!! Sonst Kühlschrank am Gang - gefüllt mit Bier, Frizzante usw.. Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Haus neben der Straße. Gerne wieder!!"

"Old building but well upkept, clean and beautiful decor. You can feel the grandeur of the past. Staff were attentive and addressed any issues immediately. Breakfast is included but simple choices and the coffee was quite good. Parking included but very small garage so ask for a spot when booking."

"Beim Checkin wurde die Buchung nicht gefunden, hat erstmal einige Minuten gebraucht bevor der Checkin funktionierte. Dann bekam ich ein falsches Zimmer, nicht jenes welches ich von der Farbe her gebucht hatte. Im Zimmer angekommen ging dann die Tür nicht richtig zu, es bleibt ein großer Spalt offen. Wenn man versucht die Tür zuzuziehen von innen, dann kommt einem der Türgriff entgegen. Zimmer stinkt und war dreckig, waren fremde Haare im Zimmer, z.B. an den Halterungen im Bad. "The property is stunning but the service and overall staff professionalism is very lacking. When we checked in the front desk attendant did not open the door or help with luggage as he saw us struggling to get through the door and there was no offer to help. He simply asked us to fill out a form and gave us 1 key. No welcome, no explanation of the 600-acre property or what was on site. No hours given for the restaurant or spa so we had to come back and get all of that information. Very odd first impression of the property. Throughout the stay, we had to continue asking for things like robes or for the steam/sauna to be turned on (even though the spa hours are 7am-10pm, apparently those treatment rooms are only turned on from 4pm-10pm which seems odd). Also, no one services the spa all day so at one point there were no more towels (and we again had to go back to the front desk and ask for towels). "
