"Socrates hotel is in a great quiet location with the beach, Stalis, Malia strip and the old town all within 10 to 15 minutes walk. "Rooms are very spacious, the pool area is lovely and there were always enough sunbeds without the need to get up early. The hotel is situated in a lovely peaceful location but only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Malia in one direction and Stalis in the other direction. It was a short walk to the bus stop to get the bus into Heraklion. "Laid back luxury. Fantastic hotel, one of the best we’ve been to. Went for baby moon. Place is quiet, full of families with very well behaved children, teen children, and couples looking for a relaxing time. All amenities are great - likely recently renovated. Food was delicious, didn’t feel the need to leave the hotel for 7 days. Sun loungers are high quality and comfortable. Room is spacious. The staff is on another level of professionalism. "The staff is really amazing, we can’t thank enough for making my wife and I feel like we’re at home. The point that we didn’t like that much was the bathroom in our room, a little bit small with a small cabin shower, no individual hygiene products such as shampoo or bathing gel and there was no much attention to the fact of refilling the products available. We were in for seven nights and we also think that in the middle of the stay, the bed sheets should be changed for clean ones. Besides that, everything was and is really amazing!"

"We were greted and made to feel at home. We were upgraded to a suite and it was very spacious and comfortable with amazing views. Breakfast was excellent taken right beside the sea. "Exceptional stay. The property was amazing with lots to places to chill and relax. The food was absolutely amazing With lots of variety in the buffet including for kids and toddlers. Perfect for a family trip. They had thought of everyway to make our stay comfortable and even gave us an upgrade to all inclusive. Highly recommend and a must visit"

"This hotel is just outside of the village of Mytros but only 5 minutes to drive in. We chose this hotel as it was convenient and close by with great parking it has a decent size swimming pool and nice outside space the rooms were well maintained and clean you can self cater should you wish. The beach is just over the road with sunbeds. "
