The staff was friendly and courteous, it was conveniently located for seeing the Luther related sites in Wittenberg, and breakfast was quite good. But, the hotel/room decor is quite tired and needs updating in almost all areas. The towels were worn and frayed as was the carpeting on the stairs. The shower/tub is quite high and a bit of a challenge for older travelers. In our opinion, not deserving of the 8.7 Expedia rating.

Everything about this property was perfect. Location is great. Restaurants close by (outside the front door). Parking was right in the back of the property. Front desk clerks were friendly, helpful and spoke English. The room was clean and very sweetly decorated. We loved it all.

This hotel is a nice combination of old charm and updated amenities. Also, its centrally located, so most all the sightseeing is within walking distance.

This hotel is in a 500 year old building on the main street of the old town in Lutherstad-Wittenberg. You feel like you were living back then. They have redone the hotel very well, but it still retains its old charm. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Right in the heart of old town Wittenberg. No air conditioning, but Germany was experiencing their hottest and driest summer on record. Regardless, the room was small but comfortable with a provided fan and open windows.

Very convenient location
It is always a joy to stay at this hotel. Not only is it clean and nice, but it is convenient to everything. They always have friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.

Lovely stopover!
Ring Hotel is in a great location. We arrived earlier than expected but our room was ready. Breakfast was included, which was a pleasant surprise.

Right in the middle of everything!
We just wanted to be close to everything while we explored the steps and life of Maryin Luther. This hotel was perfect! We were allowed to check in early and enough English was spoken to communicate with no problem. Parking is behind the hotel. There is a parallel road to Schloßestraße. Just drive up to hotel gate to get in the lot. We didn't have great weather but were able to see the majority of sights in one day. Breakfast was good and typical German. We would definitely come back given the opportunity!

This hotel has very minimal service.
1. No coffee available in the hotel or anywhere in Wittenberg from late evening to 7 AM. NONE. 2. The very worst part about our stay was: the entire hotel has only single beds. This was our 35th Wedding Anniversary and we had two twin beds pushed together, but it was a disaster, if you can imagine what we were trying to do. Reception Desk made no apologies and said, "We only have single beds in every room." 3. The internet wifi service was slow and not user-friendly.

A good choice for short stay
I am used to stay in a room with air-conditioning, but this time my room isn't. Yet, I feel surprisingly comfortable of my stay, despite the two little bugs are found, the cover sheet is quite worn-out, and the corridor is quite dark. The staff is helpful and can speak good English. There are good restaurants next to the hotel. It's also safe for a girl to have solo travel. It's worth to stay for 1-2 nights if anybody wants a relaxing holiday.

Great stay in the centre of Wittenberg close to everything. Just a bit hard to find it on the GPS driving there as the street is blocked off for pedestrian access so we had to find a way around the back in the car.

This hotel is in the historic center of Lutherstadt Wittenberg, a short walk to all the historic sites. The hotel is in a modern style in an old, perhaps historic, building. It is quite comfortable.

Great service
We got lost and arrived very late (1am) and the front desk was closed. We called the number on the door. The lady spoke very little English, but came over to let us in. Very courteous. I felt terrible, but she was nice. Great breakfast, free parking, and an ideal location. Highly recommend the Wittenberg Brewhouse (Brauhaus) a few doors down. Hotel is near Town Church and halfway between Lutherhouse museum and the Castle Church.

Comfortable but far fromTrain Station
Spacious and comfortable room, hard wood floor, next to market square and castle church( under face lift). 10 minutes to Luther's house( a must visit site) and it is 25 minutes walking to train station. Good breakfast selection and free Wi-Fi. Front desk lady does not speak much English but we communicate with gestures and point to paper well. :) both of us happy.

Enjoyable Wittenberg hotel
This hotel has clearly been converted from a much older building but everything has been done to a high standard. Much nicer than a modern, characterless hotel. Staff were pleasant and happy to help with queries.
