Idyllic setting near downtown Anchorage
A cosy and comfortable property in a convenient location that nevertheless feels like you're in the countryside. Loved the furnishings (and books!). The hosts were really friendly and helpful.
Would love to visit again!
This wonderful spacious place on a large lot with wooded backyard is comfortable and cosy. The place is stocked with books, has a very comfortable bed and nice seating. It offered everything we needed for our 8 day stay. The kitchenette is very small, but sufficient if you are not planning on cooking big meals. We would definitely stay there again!
Great cozy, place near the university and the hospital. Easy to find and quiet despite being attached to the main house. Interesting books, various ways to make coffee which is also a plus.
Only negative is that the Vacasa
This was an awesome outdoor feel in the city. Nice mossy lawn with a forrest trail that runs along Chester Creek. My service dog loved it. Inside it has a villa feel. I loved all the books inside with gorgeous windows over looking the forest. Enjoy a cup of coffee watching the birds shop for the perfect nesting materials.
I attended a meetings at the Alaskan Native Tribal Health Consortium about a 30 minute walk away. The weather was beautiful and the wooded grounds and stream helped to create a relaxing atmosphere. Sorry i missed the moose and her baby, but found signs she was around down by the stream. The studio was nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was awesome. Hope to stay there again sometime in the future.
The unit was nice and clean. Easy walking distance to UAA and some restaurants. The large windows look out to woods so very private. There seems to be some disconnect between VRBO, VACASA, and the host. There was a new 3oz bag of good Ravens Brew coffee by the coffee pot but only 3 coffee filters for a 5 day stay. When I asked the host for 2 more coffee filters, they suggested that I purchase them as they do not replenish them, which was very weird as there was only 3 for a 5 day stay. No communication from the hosts, only VACASA who wanted me to download yet another app, and the reply to purchase coffee filters.
GREAT place from which to watch the wandering Moose--mother and 'adolescent' child--graze in the backyard, while helping themselves to tasty roses! Great location , as advertised nestled in the woods just adjacent to the UA-Anchorage campus and Providence hospital complex--also Goose Lake Park! The Kitchenette leaves a bit to be desired, but we made it work for us. They really should have a more functional coffee maker. But as others have also said, very interesting, eclectic selection of books on ;the shelves to read from! I am not a huge fan of third-party bookings when you never know who or where a real person is. As such we never met the owner of the house to which this studio is adjacent, though we saw signs of people living there. I prefer another popular booking site where you can see and read a bit about the host/s and know they are actually real people to whom you can talk to, if so desired.
Nice quite property, very pet friendly. Unique experience.

Quiet stay, dirty linens
This property was quiet and well-located for exploring Anchorage and surrounding area. Check-in was straightforward. The sheets had stains and crumbs or lint on them and the comforter was also stained. There were several store tags on provided towels, indicating they had not been washed after purchase.
