The property is very unique and beautiful with your own entrance and off street parking. The only downsides were that all noise from the kitchen of the main house is audible in the bedroom of the Rose Room. The bed in the Rose Room is extremely firm. The hosts are nice but they did not ask about food allergies for the breakfast. They were also not very clear about checkout procedures which are also not in their policy booklets in the room.

It was my first time in Anchorage, so choosing the right place was important. I got a sense that this B&B would give me just what I needed -- friendly owner, roomy place to stay, quiet neighborhood. It was just right on all levels. Caroline takes a personal interest in her guests and is sincere in her willingness to ensure that her guests are happy. Good wi-fi connection, too, which was important for my work. I stayed two nights but would have been happy to stay all week if I hadn't been moving down the road. I'll definitely be back.

The comforts of home
This was a great B&B. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The owners are a lovely couple. Very friendly and accommodating. Our breakfasts were excellent - eggs, sausage, fruit, smoothies one morning and blueberry pancakes the next! They did ask if we had any dietary issues and I appreciated that. It was in a quiet neighborhood and out of all the hustle and bustle of Anchorage but close enough to get places easily.

Loved the beautiful gardens. Would have liked to see more products in the room i.e. shampoo, conditioner, lotions. The shower only had a bar of soap and an unmarked pump bottle of what we assumed was shampoo. Wife is very personable and lovely to chat with in the morning. The husband checked us in and he isn't as friendly but don't let that deter you. Great place to stay!

Very comfortable bed and breakfast!
My husband, two college age children and I stayed in the Rose Suite. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. It includes a bathroom and dressing room with a separate sink, which made it very easy for several of us to get ready for the day at the same time. There's also a microwave and mini-fridge in the suite. Breakfast was great with gluten-free options as well as protein and fruit. On our final day, we left the property at 3:30 am and took with us the hearty sack breakfast that Caroline prepared for us.

We haven't stayed at a lot of B/Bs over the years but I've been at a lot of AirBnBs the past 2 years and I couldn't think of many that would compare to the environment offered here. Very clean and comfortable and a beautiful backyard from our window. Our room had a queen sized bed and an attached sitting area with microwave/toaster oven/fridge as well as a trundle bed. Craig asked us right away if we had any special dietary concerns and walked us through the room and basic rules. There is also a binder in the room if you have questions and free WIFI you can hook up with. We had to leave early on the second morning so they packed us a breakfast "to go" with hard boiled eggs, bagels with cream cheese and almonds.

Home comfort far away from home!
This place was fantastic! I felt so at home from the minute I got there. Craig and Caroline are lovely, wonderful hosts who go above and beyond in ensuring the comfort of their guests. Caroline was up early every morning ready with a delicious breakfast (which I much appreciated!). The suite I stayed in was HUGE. I felt I had everything I needed and way more. I HIGHLY recommend a stay at their homey B&B.

Charming and delightful!
This was such a nice place to stay while staying in the Anchorage area! It is located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood, very relaxing to return to after a day of exploring! I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family.

Craig and Caroline are wonderful hosts and they made us felt like home. Even prepared packed breakfast when we had to check out early in the morning for our flight. Thumbs up!

Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Owners were very accomodating. Breakfast was superb and nutritious> Not the typical processed continental breakfasts from hotels. I spent most of my time studying, and found the room very comfortable.

My husband and I live in Fairbanks and we go up to Anchorage to get away when work permits, and we have stayed at several different hotels and I felt more comfortable at the B&B, it was my first time staying in one and I would do it again. Thank you to Caroline and her husband, and if you go you won't miss out on breakfast. Caroline spoiled us.

A great Valentine Weekend

Perfect in every way
We had a very comfortable suite--bedroom, bathroom, a small living area, and a kitchen. Breakfast was excellent. If we return to Anchorage, we will definitely want to stay again at the Camai Bed and Breakfast.

B&B was so bad we had to find another hotel,
The Cab driver could not find this B&B because the outside yard was so over grown and unkept. There were no rooms so the attendant tried to put us in the basement. It was moldly and smelled bad. We were stranded in Alaska and had to walk 7 blocks to find a hotel. This was a terrible experience especiallly since we had planned this great trip 1 year ago.

The best part of our stay was the delicious breakfast and the warm, personal way in which it was served. The room was very nice. Drawbacks were that when we were greeted the afternoon before, we were told to keep the TV volume down and to take our shoes off. Seriously?! But I guess that adds to the charm of the B and B experience.

We are Alaskan, but we both shivered with goosebumps all night even though we were fully clothed - it was freezing in mid-summer. I should have thought to check for extra blankets in the closet, but I guess I'm used to hotels with down comforters.The plumbing was really loud at night (if someone flushes at 2am, you will hear it), and noise really carries from other floors.

Great B&B close to everything
Hosts were amazing and made one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Location is close to everything, with a comfy bed, large bathroom and room for us to stretch out in our own living space. Single knock would be that the property is a converted house, so you could hear others coming and going throughout the the night. Despite that fact, this was the best place we stayed out of 7 in Alaska.

Self-sufficiency in suburban Anchorage
B&B in a large private house in suburban Anchorage. Rooms were apartment size and well equipped and furnished. Microwave, fridge and small oven so self-sufficiency is possible. Reasonable sized bathroom. Friendly hosts offering a nice breakfast in a nice dinning room on proper crockery (no paper plates, plastic cutlery or polystyrene cups in sight.) Nice walk to and around the University lake and convenient for the airport.

First day in Alaska
Keep in mind this is a bed and breakfast. We expected the owners to be kind and accommodating. She was, he wasn't. We were an inconvenience to him. He welcomes you with "take off you shoes." That sets the tone for checking out. During breakfast you might expect conversation about area attractions or our plans. No, when we finished he kept asking when were we going to be out- at 8:30AM. We acknowledged we were getting ready. A few minutes later, the same question. His wife finally intervened by saying "leave them alone." She was kind and he was crabby. The rooms were fine, the breakfast was fine. We will not come back or recommend because the two of them have no idea what a B&B is all about. There are other B&B's in Anchorage, give another a try and hope for a little more friendly experience.

Nicest place we stayed in our 16 day Alaskan trip. Very clean and neat. High quality linens with lots of amenities and very large room, we were in the Peony suite. Quiet location. Good breakfast. This was our first time at a bed and breakfast. I would highly recommend it.

A great first time experience!
This was our first trip at a B&B and it was very lovely indeed. The room was spacious! It had lovely amenities such as a toaster oven and refrigerator TV with satellite and an en-suite bathroom. We went in late March so parking was a nightmare, but I assume that in the warmer months, street parking would be available. It is in the middle of a suburb so if you're looking for things to do within walking distance, this isn't the place to stay. We had a car and it took us about 10 - 15 minutes to get to attractions. This is a long running B&B and it was again, very lovely. We would definitely recommend it.

We stayed in the Peony suite which has a queen bedroom with a separate room with sitting area, a trundle bed, microwave, toaster oven, small fridge, and desk. There is an adjoining bath. Bathrobes were provided and the breakfast was outstanding with fresh fruit and then eggs, sausage, tomatoes and green beans, coffee, juice, and good bread. It would be good for an extented stay even with a third person the way it is set up. I would recommend it. It is located in a residential neighborhood so private transportation would be necessary.
