    Historic A-frame ski chalet with a private outdoor cedar barrel sauna and mountain views. Located under 2 miles from Alyeska Resort and close to Girdwood Brewing Company. Features open-beam architecture, big windows, a gas stove, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, high-speed WiFi, and direct path access to Virgin Creek Falls trailhead. Parking for two vehicles. Sleeps 5.



    The Space:

    This classic A-Frame Chalet was built in the early days of the Alyeska Ski Resort and sits in the established neighborhoods outside of Girdwood's community center. It features the original wood interior accents, with limited modern updates such as the gas heating stove and Sauna. It preserves the tradition of the early days of the ski town with its natural landscaping, huge windows, and an open concept floor plan that creates a spacious but cozy atmosphere. Our stay was very relaxing, exactly what we needed. The upstairs bedroom has a very large comfortable bed. The hot tub was lovely. We were there before ski season began so there isn’t a whole lot to do around Girdwood but hike, eat and relax, which works for us! The people in town are friendly and helpful.
