"This is a nice enough little place for getting some authentic island feel. The room could have used some upkeep. There was mold along the baseboards, The door didn't lock but I didn't feel like anyone was going to steal anything either. None of the staff spoke English so I had to communicate with the hotel via someone on WhatsApp. Not a bad workaround. They were very responsive. Be advised you have to walk up a pretty good hill to get there. If you are not one to want to trudge up a hill take that into consideration."

"I had surgery and specifically requested a non smoking room prior to check in. Upon arriving to my room, it smelt like cigarette - so the front desk accommodated a room change. The second room also smelt heavily of smoke, and upon requesting for the third time a non-smoking room, I was told the best they can do is to “spray the carpet”. Due to complications second hand smoke can have on bleeding and other surgical risks, I couldn’t even stay my first night. I had to check out within a few hours and the hotel is refusing to provide a refund, even though it was for legitimate medical reasons. They are saying I “refused” a room change, however, it would’ve been my third time changing rooms. At that point is what made clear, no matter which room they put me in, it’s simply not a smoke free hotel, and a “non smoking room” was wrongfully advertised. I am now out $400 and they refuse to refund me. "

"Superb hotel. A large clean, completely soundproof room with comfortable (firm) beds. The fitness centre is well equipped with a squat rack and olympic bar and weights. The lobby, bar, restaurant are all nicely appointed and it has a lovely outdoor atrium. The buffet breakfast is great and it is about a 3 minute walk to the airport entrance. Easily worth 50% more than the €125 we paid."

"We had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. It is in a quiet street but very close to the centre of town. The staff were all lovely and accomodating. The breakfast was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful weekend away from the bustle of Istanbul. "

"Truly special night on the island with Palais. The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind, the atmosphere was intimate, magical, and the views stunning. Can't think of a better place to stay while here. "
