It’s a very good hotel at good price.
Facility is clean and is well decorated with interesting modern arts. Staffs are friendly and requests are serviced promptly.
I believe the area is generally safe as I don’t see anyone loitering on the street, although I do see barbs on the fences and gates. Not sure their purpose. No sign of graffiti.
The hotel is next to a bus stop while it’s not close to tourist attractions. Amsterdam has excellent public transportation system. With the close by bus stop, it’s easy to reach anywhere in the city vicinity with reasonable time. Location is not really an issue.
Breakfast is generally good with good collection of meat, egg, cheese, bakery, fruit, and vegetables. I like that there is smoked fish everyday. During the weekend, it becomes smoked salmon. All tastes good. It would be even better if the sausage links can be softer and tastier. It’s a bit hard to chew.
The hotel doesn’t have power outlets that work for American electronics. The hotel has a small collection of adapters at the reception. However, the staffs are not familiar with those adapters. It took me three trips to get the right configurations. Perhaps the hotel has been hosting mainly European travelers and hadn’t had much experience with American travelers.
I would book again if I visit Amsterdam again.
