I liked the location and the overall value of the hotel. The location is right by the museum, nice cafes, and beautiful parks. The building is small and everything is compact. It encourages you to explore the city and not the room. Front staff was friendly. Somethings I did not like: 1.I saw some ants in my bathroom and sink. I thought about saying something to the front desk, but choose not to since I didn’t the other guest at the front to be alarmed. I took a video of the ants if anyone would like to see. 2. The shower and liner is poorly designed. Water is freely allowed to leave the shower and accumulate in the toilet area of the bathroom. Every time you take a shower you practically flood the bathroom area. 3. The towels and blankets had stains on them. I didn’t mind it but I imagine some might. Hotel walls are very thin, but expected at a place like this. I would would use again if I visit Amsterdam again.

It’s was a fair hotel for the price .. got stuck in the lift .. wasn’t a great experience. But overall not a bad stay 👍

Affordable sleep and shower place for my grandson and myself on a high-school trip. Tram is a block away and museums are at the front door. Grocery across tram tracks for munchies and necessities. 2nd stay here. First one was with mom 7 yrs ago. Bathroom has shower seat and adjustable hand held. TV needs some work, but not a must-have.

Basic but good
This was one of the cheapest options and I was little leery of staying here. But it is extremely convenient for museums and trams are close by, so not bad for getting around. I took a gamble and was pleasantly surprised. It was a small, basic room but everything worked and the bed was fine. The doors to the rooms shut hard, so I heard a number of people come and go late into the night, but it wasn't too bad. There is only one elevator, so you may have a wait if you can't take the stairs.

Unfortunately very noisy tourists passing on street throughout the night prevented sleep, other people passing on stairs. I bolted up in the night worried someone was going to open my door. Hot weather with no ac or fan so had to keep windows open. Nice location to trams and museums but won’t stay here again…

Clean and good value. Our double room with twin beds was very narrow and the beds were very narrow as well. If you need a larger bed or have a lot of luggage this place may not be for you. Excellent value, clean, and location was fantastic. Not too loud (street noise) but nothing intolerable. It was nice that the windows opened. The only thing that we would have liked, was a small fridge and a kettle. Staff was very good and friendly

Great place to stay
Perfect location, short walk to museums such as Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. Also great access to trams, the tram stops very close to the hotel and you can catch the tram to the main city area easily and quickly. Rooms were fairly clean, check in and check out was fast. My only complaint is that we didn't have a TV remote but that didn't matter to us too much because we were out all day anyway. Great place to stay if you want to explore Amsterdam, will choose this hotel again if I return!

Very close to transport which was handy, about 15 to 20 mins outside of Amsterdam central. Bed were comfy to sleep in and no issues with the room. Party of 10 so was very affordable and staff were polite

It was a nice spot. Small rooms but comfy, cozy and cute. Nice location. Bakery around the corner - walking distance to museums and the train and buses all a few steps away. Also 28 min. Walk to centrum (downtown) location was good and comfortable beds.

Good and convenient place to stay in Amsterdam
It was good in general but wifi can’t reach the room or nothing at all. No shower gel no shampoo ( container was empty ) yes we could have asked but it should be provided when the room is ready. The place is very near to tram going to the main places and also very near to buses going and from the airport which is convenient. I would still recommend it if your not fuzzy about the service that are not provided.

Average room.
An ok hotel within easy access of the central area. No breakfast available or tea and coffee in rooms, beds a little uncomfortable and windows very drafty so needed to move bed away. Clean towels daily and a good base for exploring.

Great location with transport links around corner, local convenience shop nearby with around 20-25 mins walk into the heart of Amsterdam. Room itself was rather noisy combined with toilet which kept overflowing/running (Reported but no one fixed) Beds themselves were not that comfy. One bin located in toilet area, could do with another as this one is a small bin. Within the shower room some exposed wires were shown, maybe a way to cover these up perhaps. However with everything mentioned we felt with it being the cheapest price around overall it wasn’t too bad, location made up for the areas of improvements.

I knew when I booked that the Trianon was a basic hotel and I chose it because it was close to where a friend was staying. I had read some pretty grim reviews so was a bit worried! However, I was more than happy with it. Yes, it was far from luxurious and the decor is drab and outdated, but it was clean and comfortable. I had bunk beds in the room and my bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nothing fancy but the shower was great and there was plenty of toilet paper and clean towels. Having read some review about the noise levels I was worried that I would be kept awake but I found the hotel to be very quiet. Yes, I could hear people above me moving around but it wasn't loud. The reception staff were hit and miss with a couple of people who showed a distinct lack of interest in the guests. I was checked in by a very pleasant young woman who was very helpful. In terms of location, The Trianon is situated a stone's throw from some.of the major museums such as The Van Gogh, The Moco and The Rijks museums. It's a lovely walk into town or you can catch a tram (the 2 or the 12) a couple of minutes walk from the hotel on the main road. The tram takes you up to Dam Square, with the last stop being Central Station. So, all in all, I was pleased with my choice because I didn't spend much time in my room anyway. If you want to stay somewhere cheap & cheerful, then I would recommend the Trianon. Just don't expect any luxury!

Great location! Amazing museums nearby. Bus to the airport and tram to the centre right outside. Rooms are basic but clean and bed was comfortable. Nice restaurants and cafes nearby, with a supermarket 2 minutes away with a tasty and cheap bakery. Would recommend!

It is a basic place, it has the necessary to sleep and leave the staff, nothing else. It is close to bus stop from airport, and it is super close to all main museums, supermarket and restaurants, so location is super good. The main photos hat is like nice chairs and tables are not belong to the property, but it is a Chinese restaurant next to the property, same owners, so it is not accurate. In addition, we have been kicked out from the property after our check-out. The reception is very small and we stay there for a while to work before going to the airport, and the receptionist ask us to leave since we already did the check out. So the place is good for sleep and location but nothing else.
