I had a delightful experience at the Tivoli. Upon arrival, a friendly doorman promptly assisted with our bags, setting a welcoming tone from the start. The designated check-in area was cozy, and the staff were both professional and personable. The entire hotel boasts lovely lighting, creating a warm ambiance from the lobby to the rooms. Although our room was on the smaller side, it was well-lit and impeccably clean. Despite the limited space, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were crisp and fresh. The bathroom, while compact, was equipped with all the essentials. I particularly appreciated the heated towel rack and the hotel-branded towels, which added a touch of luxury. The attention to detail was evident, with amenities like lip balm and nail filler available—a lifesaver when I accidentally broke a nail. Our room offered a stunning view of the river, especially enjoyable on sunny days when the natural light flooded the room, creating a sunbathing-worthy atmosphere. Moreover, the hotel's location in the heart of the city ensured that we were within easy reach of all the activities and attractions. Additionally, the area felt safe, providing peace of mind throughout our stay. The breakfast selection was extensive and of exceptional quality, further enhancing our stay. Without hesitation, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others.

The location was perfect, convenient to everything. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with multiple options. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay.

This hotel is faultless as far as we are concerned and I am a very picky guest. The place is beautifully decorated and maintained and the food is absolutely excellent. What we simply could not get over was the absolutely amazing service we received from every single staff member. We travel alot and have never experienced service like it. We would not stay anywhere else in Amsterdam after this.

Excellent stay at Tivoli Doleon Amsterdam. The room was well appointed with very comfortable bed. It’s located conveniently close to trams and trains making it a great starting point for touring. The staff is very accommodating and breakfast was fantastic!

Fantastic hotel. Staff was 5 star quality. Greeted with warm towels, water and champagne during check in. Rooms are smaller, but that is typical for Europe. Still clean, comfortable and updated. Will absolutely stay here again!

The property is beautiful and is located on the wonderful location. The staff however was interesting, few incidents happened and i don’t know what to think of them. For example, the room was not properly cleaned before hand and we were blamed of smoking in the room by the cleaning ladies because of some significantly really really old cigarette buds found from outside the window. The cleaning ladies also for some reason never emptied out the room bins and took out trash? We had the breakfast buffet, one morning there were flies in the juice served… second day, we wanted to sit at our usual seat where we sit everyday and the restaurant person asked her to move because it was for 4 people — another couple came and wanted that seat and it was given to them without question even though they were also just two people. (mind you the entire restaurant was completely empty). I wish the people made it better since the location/hotel was absolutely amazing!

There was major construction for a school building across the street that was not advertized. It cuts down on the ambience in a world heritage zone. The rooms are good, but small and not enough storage for clothes in the winter. Nice staff.

I highly recommend this hotel, the staff was super attentive, the food was top notch and the location was within walking distance of all the attractions. The room was very comfortable and had a great view but the staff in the hotel really made all the difference. I really love the breakfast and dinner as they have a lot of options and the food was really good. I recommend the breakfast as you can order eggs Benedict, omelet or just grab food from the buffet. My favorite was the hot chocolate my wife and I are still craving it weeks later.

Excellent location
Warmly greeted after a long night of flying, we very much enjoyed our three night stay. Bert and Rose were extraordinarily helpful. Loved the modern shower. The room was smallish but had great canal views. Hotel is at the heart of Amsterdam, with easy walks to everywhere from the museums to the red light district.

While the location is excellent, this hotel falls short of being a five-star establishment. Despite claiming recent renovations, it's unclear where the funds were allocated as some hotel rooms still require new carpets. Additionally, investing in an ionizer for the front entryway would greatly improve the initial unpleasant smell upon entering the hotel. With some small improvements, I would consider returning to this property. Besides those things, the staff was great.

Easy to get to, friendly staff,. We had a meal in the evening here and it was fantastic. The chef came out and asked if all was ok we even got a second helping of the cheese board off them. They also do a great cocktail at the bar.

This hotel is in an excellent location. We were there for business at the RAI convention center. It is easy to walk to great shopping and restaurants from this hotel very close to the red light District for the one stroll just to see it. The staff is fantastic. They will bend over backwards and do anything for you. The restaurant inside the hotel is excellent five stars. Downside to the hotel was the room. We had the best suite in the hotel but… Carpet was disgusting. And the room was extremely cold. 16°C. It was unacceptable. This lasted for a couple of days as the heat system cannot keep up. They put an auxiliary heater in our room which helped a bit. I’m sure the other rooms are better. The only other thing we noticed was an awful smell within the lobby in our room. We smelled that in other restaurants in the lobby of the hotel next-door. We think it might be from the canal. I Amsterdam is always a fun place to visit. Overall great experience. I would stay here again just not on the first floor.

This is a great little hotel in a perfect location for exploring downtown Amsterdam. The staff is fantastic. Unfortunately, the hotel is a little in need of upgrades. It was a horrible smell the whole time we were there like a sewer had backed up. But I realize it wasn't just this hotel. It was also the hotel next-door. We stepped in the lobby of the hotel next-door and actually had dinner there. The smell was awful. The other issue we had with this Hotel was the room was freezing cold. 16°C. The heater cannot keep up with the room. They put an auxiliary heater in the room. 16°C. The heater cannot keep up with the room. My partner was sick from the smell and the cold. They did offer to move us to another room. After two days. Amber, in customer relations was amazing. The property is in a good location. In the center. rooms were nicely appointed and aesthetically pleasing. However there is Lack of Electrical Outlets by the Nightstand: While the room had electric outlets, their placement was inconvenient. The nightstand, typically a hub for charging phones, laptops, or other devices while resting, had no nearby outlet. This is a basic amenity that many business travelers, me included, find crucial. There is not a designated business room. When we needed to print our airline boarding passes (as we prefer paper versions), we had to go through the somewhat cumbersome process of sending it to an email to get it printed

Great Hotel
Enjoyable stay. Location couldn’t really be better (yes there is noise outside the hotel until late - but to be expected given the location). Friendly staff. Only slight negative is that room service is very limited - don’t expect to be able to get a quick burger or a sandwich/snack in the hotel. The hotel is right in the city centre so finding somewhere to eat isn’t too challenging, but it was frustrating having to go out when I arrived after a long journey. Very surprised to find this sort of limitation with this grade of hotel. But other than that, excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located and the staff is attentive and helpful. The rooms are small but have everything you need. The beds are nice and the walls have phone plugs by the bed. The bathrooms are well appointed and have true American showers. One con: The carpet in the room could have been better. We would stay here again.
