You get what you pay for. Ok but clearly we were. Unaware of amsterdam prices. Ideal for youngsters on a budger.

Street quite noisy. Easy access to main sights and public transport. Stairs are very narrow and steep, the handrail was almost vertical.

The hotel is straight forward. Has a good shower. Although the stairs are steep and there’s no elevator. But you can’t beat the location. It’s super central and it’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. It’s really nearby Dam Square. Recommend if you’re on a budget and especially if you’re a solo traveler.

location was perfect.most of the tourist spots are walkable.The only downside we are on 3rd floor and no elevator so it was very challenging to reach our room everyday especially with luggages..

It's in a great location, just minutes from the train station. The room was lovely with a big comfy bed. The bathroom was very clean with an amazing shower and plenty of towels. Free tea and coffee available. I'd definitely stay again.

We wanted to stay close to Centraal Station since we would be leaving early morning on day of check out. We were on the main street where there was a lot of action. We figured the streets would be noisy and we'd have trouble sleeping but surprisingly it was quiet and we were able to sleep. Walkable city and we were in the middle of it all. Rooms were small but that's how most are in Europe. They were clean and the beds were comfy and a nice bathroom with a great shower with great water pressure. Complimentary coffee at the check in area. Stairways were narrow but again, this was expected with small European hotels. If ever in Amsterdam again we would stay here.

Great location, just up from central station. Stairs were steep but what you would expect with this type of building In Amsterdam. The people on reception were very helpful.

This hotel was convenient to the railway station, even getting there is the late, dark evening. I was well attended to even on a late arrival and was assisted with our baggage and given notice of a discount available at a local eatery . Being of a certain are we found it a little difficult to climb the stairs although part of that problem was due to the style of nearly all stairs within buildings within the Netherlands. Our room could have been a little larger but the toilet/shower area was more than adequate, modern, clean and in very good condition.

Good location but very average hotel
Ok stay. Great location but very tired hotel. Rooms are clean and good shower but rest of the hotel is old. Most staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful but the lady on the second day was much nicer. If you want a cheap central place to stay for one night it does the job but don’t expect too much.

There is only one single complaint I had and that is that the windows don't seal shut completely so a very small draft managed to get in, the room was warm enough for this to not be a problem though.

Two words: Bed bugs!
I fell off the bed 3 times because they were so small, and to make matters worse, I was bitten and found bed bugs in my bed the next morning. I asked receptionist to give me partial refund for the inconvenience and emailed manager, no response! For 250 € a night, I expected better rooms.

Nice basic hotel
Wanted a cheap hotel for one night and that’s exactly what we got. I wasn’t expecting anything special. Basic room, nice shower. Had a single bedroom which done it’s job. Room had air con which was great. Only issues I had was someone was sick outside my room and I could hear everything outside.

Hotel by itself was ok not too bad for that type of old historical building. After 12 hours flight from Los Angeles I arrived to Amsterdam the weather was terribly hot and I faced the biggest nightmare of my life, in the room temperature was 79 degree and AC did not work, when I went to reception to ask to change the room I was already completely wet my body and clothes were absolutely wet, and I met the most ignorant, most stupid acting, unprofessional rude thing I’ve ever seen. That thing (I can’t call him a person) looked at my face and shamelessly told me that AC working and the system in front of him dosent show any issue, that thing told me also he dosent have any room and can not relocate me. I told him to come to my room and feel it, since the system did not showed anything, after checking the room again shamelessly forced to accept that AC works just normal. When I asked don’t you feel the heat in my room, the thing answered that he dosent feel anything. And I truly believe, usually human being has to feel something but he is a snake, disgusting and ignorant snake.
