The hotel was decorated beautifully and staff members were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was on the small side but expected for European hotel. Overall, a great experience.

Lovely stay at the Hotel Estheréa. The staff is terrific, the rooms are clean and offer a more traditional touch. The bar and lobby are stunning. Thank you for a second lovely stay.

The hotel was very well located to walk to most Amsterdam attractions; museums, Jordaan, Red Light District, as well as dining options. The room was very roomy, with a comfortable king size bed and two comfortable chairs. We enjoyed having a bath as well as a shower with quality Occitaine bath products. The staff was helpful in locating convenient dining options, including take out one night when we were too tired to go out. They provided free tea, coffee, cool drinks and sweets all day, which we enjoyed. My only complaint is that we were not offered our VIP perks upfront. Perhaps, it's because there was mix-up between us and someone else with the same last name at check-in. However, once we asked about our free bar drinks, we received them.

I traveled here alone with my young child and we had the most incredible time. The rooms are small but standard for the area incredibly well decorated, giving such a boutique and unique feel. The hotel was super accommodating to my daughter as well, making her feel super welcome and comfortable. I’m coming back in June with my husband. Can’t wait! Excellent location as well. Moments away from key locations in Amsterdam.

The owner took great care to decorate and furnish each of the rooms. The foyer and waiting areas are beautiful and inviting. The location is central and the staff are helpful and accommodating. I will definitely come back to Hotel Estherea when I return to Amsterdam.

Staff was rude when I asked where umbrellas were. I took the tassel off my key so I could walk in and out and not carry a heavy tassel. Staff seemed annoyed with that when I checked out. For 900 euros for two nights I think you can walk upstairs and get the tassel. Overheard a staff member call me a profanity when I was walking upstairs. Wow.

Love being able to sit in the lobby with a hot drink and complimentary biscuits & cakes. There was an issue on checking out , my bill was higher than quoted by Expedia, this was due to the increase in city tax since I booked. I said i didn't think it was dair and the lower amount was honoured , however, this did take some tome to rectify

Charming, tasteful furnishings throughout the property and right on the canals. Very convenient to all kinds of restaurants and shops. Amsterdam is a very walkable (and bicyclable) city - walked everywhere and hotel was in a great location. Cookies, water, tea and coffee available in lobby and lobby charming place to sit and sip. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was so cute! We loved the decor, and the staff was very friendly. The bar on site was the perfect place to meet up before heading out or to grab a night cap after a day out. We were continently located, and loved seeing the cats roaming in the lobby.

Stayed at the property for 4 nights (rm.302) in Feb. 2024 for our 30th anniversary. Oh my! The room was stinky and smelled of smoke so bad that we weren’t able to get rid of headaches while in the room despite our attempts to air it out. Everything from towels to bed linens, curtains to carpet stunk of smoke and the air in the room was stuffy and unbearable. Service was an experience of its own. Although breakfast was good, you were limited in time you can enjoy it to a ridiculous time slot that staff polices mercilessly. You get no “Good Morning” or “How are you?” just a “Do you have a reservation?” even if the place is empty. We had to carry dirty dishes back to the kitchen as there was no one to collect them and they piled over on the tiny table we dined on. We had breakfast 3x and the experience was the same every day. Quite disappointing! Will not recommend.

The staff were very accommodating. I had messaged them that it was our first time in Amsterdam and a celebration for my daughter’ graduation and they left a congratulatory card and a box of chocolates for us. The room was amazing and the beds ver comfortable. We were in 403 and could see the street below with the stores. Honestly I thought it was better than the canal view rooms. I would book it again. The breakfast was buffet style and plentiful with fresh squeezed orange juice. Very close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel’s furnishings and atmosphere are amazing. Fresh flowers everywhere. We would definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed in this hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam on the Singel canal, and while the location was fantastic and the room itself was comfortable and tastefully decorated, my experience was marred by the lack of attention from the staff. Upon arrival, despite traveling with considerable luggage, no staff members offered assistance. Instead, I found them engaged in conversation behind the reception desk. Throughout my stay, there was a noticeable absence of greetings or acknowledgment from the staff upon entering or leaving the premises. It felt as though they were more preoccupied with each other rather than attending to the needs of the guests. Furthermore, seeing staff members smoking outside did not uphold a professional image. In the room, attention to detail was lacking. The toilet frequently malfunctioned, and I discovered remnants of the previous guests behind supposedly clean towels, which was disappointing. Overall, while the hotel boasts a prime location and the room was enjoyable, the level of service fell short of expectations. There's definite room for improvement in ensuring guests feel welcomed and attended to throughout their stay.

The location is great and from outside, this hotel is nice but completely unassuming when compared with what the interior holds. The minute you walk through the doors it’s almost as if you’re transported to another world and another time. The interior design is stunning and the staff are all extremely kind and accommodating. Our room was small but comfortable and extremely charming. We only got to stay for a brief time, but would definitely come back. Don’t forget to visit the hotel bar. The drinks are fantastic and the bartenders are top notch and very friendly.

Simply the best hotel in Amsterdam. I recommend this hotel to everyone that I know is going to Amsterdam (young, middle-aged, professional, elderly), and I have never had anyone say anything but how amazing the experience was overall.
