This property is in the centre of everything. Dam square is literally around the corner. There are resteraunts and bars a stones throw away. Shopping is also very close. We could go back to the hotel to drop our shopping bags off before going somewhere else!! Its about a 10 - 15 min walk from the train station, depending on how fast you walk, I walk quite slowly! Anne Frank Haus is also about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is clean and offers an adequate and fresh self service breakfast. The staff are very helpful. Surprisingly our bedroom was at the back of the building and it was very quiet. We had a great time here.

Property very good location for a tourist visit to central Amsterdam. Toilet very cramped. If you are a larger person it could be a little awkward Otherwise, I would highly recommend

Great little hotel, close to all amenities and a great little coffee shop opposite. The only let down was breakfast, very limited and poor. Not worth the money for breakfast

It was adequate but the hotel needs some fixing up: paint on walls and new chairs in the lobby. I’m sure it is competitive to attract tourists but the place looked a bit worn out.

Great location. Shabby property. But who visits Amsterdam to stay in the hotel! They should provide more drawers and shelves for clothing and accessories.

Avis this place if you want a clean or quiet stay
This was a very disappointing stay. When I arrived into my room I went to freshen up and found the stopper in the sink to be broken. I worked around it but then went around to the bed, I saw a big black hair. How did a maid not see this? Then the extremely loud British people in the room next door entered and exited their room at least 10 times in 15 minutes, one of them actually screaming in the hallway. Inside their room you could hear everything, the walls are like paper. So I put some music on the TV and it stopped working and it locked up to the point I couldn't even turn the tv off. That was the final straw, I went down to complain. She changed my room but put me in a worse room. I barely could squeeze myself into the toilet because the room was so small. And the same problem with noise with a loud and obnoxious woman next to me, she was screaming worse that the first one inside her room. I had to blast the music and bang in the wall to get her to stop. Don't stay here if you want a clean or a quiet stay. Worst hotel of my European trip

Great location.
Was there for one day. Not a luxury hotel, but we knew that going in. Very clean. Friendly staff. Wanted to be close to Dam Square. Great location for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Very convenient.

Perfect Location
The Best Western is a short walk to the train station and around great restaurants and cafes. The breakfast is a perfect way to start the day. Make sure you stop in a for J jenever at the pub next door.

The staff was lovely and the room was nice and extremely comfortable. But the bathrooms are so small that there's nowhere to put cosmetic bag or even your toothbrush safe for the side of the sink. I also think even three star hotels should have USB plugs to charge phones and other devices.

Amsterdam Hotel
The hotel is in a great location. My bed was roomy and the room was sufficiently large. The bathroom is very tiny. I am tall and spca between the toilet and the basin is too small.

Located in an interesting alley way, with restaurants and shopping nearby. Because of the small alley, cars can’t get in easily, so may have to walk a bit if you use a cab. It’s also fairly close to the train station. Provided a decent breakfast.

Nice accomodations in heart of Amsterdam
We had a great stay at this hotel. Best aspects? Location in the core of Amsterdam, very friendly staff, great breakfast, and excellent security. The building needs a refresh and the carpet on the ground floor in particular is badly in need of a replacement. Several other aspects of the decor need work (like paint on the hallway walls). Our room itself was very nice. Still for the money, this is an excellent deal for a safe place to stay right in the heart of the action of Amsterdam. Main train station is 10 minute walk. The museum area is 20-30 minutes walk. Great food and shopping is just outside the door!

First let me say that Lwin who set up the Breakfast room was a delight. She went out of her way to be friendly and gracious and helped to make our otherwise so so stay here ok. The selection for breakfast was not terrible or great. The location of this property was perfect as far as being able to get around Amsterdam however it was way overpriced for what it was. The shower was painfully small although they did have good shower heads and pressure. The hallways were dark and a bit dingy and painted a depressing color of blue. The front office staff was not very friendly or welcoming although not rude either, just going through the motions. This BW was overall a disappointment especially when compared with the BW we stayed in in Bordeaux on the same trip.

Hotel is in a great location for exploring and very near several tram lines. It was very clean and the staff are lovely, and breakfast was good, with gluten free items being provided in request. The only drawback is that because of its central location, there is some noise at night .

Fab Location
Recently stayed here for a long weekend away with one of my friends. Room was fab, we had so much space and it was really clean. Location was AMAZING! Only a 5/10 minute walk to everything that you could possibly want to see when you visit Amsterdam. Would stay here again and recommend everyone else to do so :)

We were happy with the hotel & location The only gripe we had was that work men were working on our floor and equipment was been left out in day and ceiling panels, pipes and wires were left hanging out even at night.

Would love to stay here again.
Great hotel located within a 10 minute walk to Central Station. Hotel was quiet and safe. They have a good security set up for entry into the hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious for a bathroom in Europe. Located within a few minutes of Damrak and Dam Square. Free umbrellas to use on rainy days and the staff is very knowledgeable about the rail system.
