"Booked room only in a "Very good" room, which i would probably describe as good. The pictures online make it look a lot bigger. We travelled in the heatwave, and the small window in the rooms only opened a few inches. There was a small fan provided, but for me, it just moved the hot air. Due to the heat, I didn't get much sleep. Also at 6am on Monday morning, the bin men came, crashing, banging and emptying the bottle bin at 1000 decibels. Prior to arrival, I rang to request a parking space as a blue badge holder. The lady I spoke to said they had a space, but it was about 40 steep steps down to the hotel. She explained there was a pay and display car park up the road, on the flat. On arrival, we went to the hotel car park, and wow, she wasn't wrong. I took a while to get down the steps, but knew there was no way I would be getting up them. On check in, the lady I spoke to took us to see an accessible room, but it was quite small and dark, so stuck with our original room, up two flights of stairs, no lift due to the age of the property. On departure, I found it easier to exit the hotel, and walk the route to the car park along the main street. Uphill, but no steps. All in all, if you have any mobility issues this isn't the place for you, however the lady on check in went over and above to find the most suitable room, and even offered to carry our bags. We did not eat at the hotel. I'd give it a 7 out of 10."

"You are either going to fall in love with this place or compare it unfavourably with the facilities in a chain hotel. It is a delight from when you drive in through the gateway, and it feels like you are a guest at a country house, not just a customer. Breakfast is at a common table, so conversations start and continue."

"From the welcome to the time we left the Mill everything was perfect. The peaceful location, the spacious and comfortable double room with balcony, (cleaned every day and chocolate snack pot refilled), the high spec bathroom the added little thoughtful extras, (fresh milk everyday in the room and bottles of water). The mill itself in a lovely setting with alpacas grazing outside. Helen and Matt, amazing hosts, giving gems of information about places to go (Pemberton Park a definite), but genuinely being interested in their guests. We loved the openness of breakfast where Matt is calmly cooking breakfasts in an open plan area, while Helen is managing the dining room and service both chatting to guests and making us feel that absolutely nothing is a problem to ask and they are quite obviously a good team together. Will definitely return, this is the best accommodation we have had in Wales so far, for peacefulness, friendliness, cleanliness, privacy in room, (not feeling boxed in by other rooms) and refilled chocolate/snack pot a definite plus."
