Gateway is consistently a great place to stay. Front desk folks are always friendly, competent, and knowledgeable. Rooms are always clean. I usually stay when things are not super busy so the rate is very reasonable. I love it here.

This hotel is the best one in Ames. Rooms are modern, spacious, with great amenities. The facility’s restaurant is good and offers late breakfast on the weekend.

This is our go-to place to stay when visiting our boys at Iowa State. It is clean, spacious, and close to campus. The rooms are very nice- the bedding, lighting, bathroom, etc.

The front desk was great. The room was very nice with a micro and a fridge. It was very clean. The pool and hot tub were both very clean as well. Parking was easy and about a mile from Iowa state university. The breakfast was buffet on the weekend and order from the menu on weekdays. We had the order from the meu and it was very good. Water, coffee and fruit available in the morning too. Would stay here again for sure.
