The farmhouse is big; set in green grounds but isolated - too far to walk into Aiguillon. A petrol station and a supermarket are a short drive. You drive to access any river, pool or beach.The shaded area under a canopy of vines with plastic table, chairs and BBQ is good for eating outside.That's the only outside facility, apart from the garden which you could walk in. "Séjour agréable, la résidence de plein air est agréable et bien entretenue. En revanche, on a eu beaucoup de difficultés à les joindre car il s'est avéré que leur box était HS, pas possibilités de faire les CB, (caution et paiement), et on n'a pas pu du tout joindre l'établissement pour préparer notre arrivée, et cela nous a valu des sueurs froides, car on ne savait pas comment récupérer les clefs -, sachant que c'était un dimanche . On a dû changer notre agenda, pour arriver pendant les heures...

"So much room to spread out, both inside and outside this manoir, lofty ceilings, huge fireplaces, history abounds at Quatre Vents. The pool is magnificent and clean, the bar and pizza oven are great fun and perfect for entertaining on the long hot evenings in this part of the world, fresh figs from the garden etc… Thank you for a perfect stay."

"A lovely stay in a beautiful house. It was wonderful to sit by the pool and look at the incredible view, eat cheese and wine under the tree and explore the local area. The children loved sleeping in one room together and the adults were far enough away not to hear them! Thank you for having us."

"We stayed here for 1 week in August 2017 with a further 2 families. Our children were aged from 12 to 16. Everything was absolutely perfect. There is so much space and so many different things to do that the children were never bored. The house and the pool are stunning - the pictures don't do it justice. Nicolas & Sandrine were lovely hosts. We will almost certainly return to enjoy this beautiful home again."

"We rented the house as a base during a meditation retreat in nearby Temple sur Lot. It is a wonderful home, very comfy, lots of places to relax and read a book. Kitchen was well-stocked. The host was communicative, easy-going and accommodating. Because we traveled in the winter, we didn’t get to take advantage of the pool but I imagine that’s a fantastic seasonal perk. Excellent service, clean and quiet motel

"The hotel is an old fashioned motel style low rise block with room doors giving into the car park, a grassed area or a walkway. It was very clean, the air con worked well, the bed was comfortable, the shower was decent and it was very quiet. The manager gave us a room giving onto a grassy area in the shade as he knew we were travelling with a dog. In the evening we popped into his bar area and were served decent wine. We decided to stay for dinner which was simple home style french cooking, served quickly. Decent portions, very good service. The hotel is in a light industrial area some distance from the town centre. It could do with some renovation/updating but the manager is making it a very nice place to stay due to cleanliness and excellent swrvice"

"The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Our room was very large and the air conditioning was perfect. The front desk staff were welcoming and very friendly. We also enjoyed the exercise room on property and the location of the property. It was close to the highway as well as to the center of town. We were able to walk to coffee shops and restaurants. We would definitely reccomend this hotel!"

"Only comment would be that there were a lack of power outlets in the foom & the bathroom would benefit from some tlc. The bar & restaurant were not open. I'm led to believe seasonal opening although on Hotels.com said that they were on site however should gave advised if open or not"
