As you walk through the courtyard, you’ll find yourself in a place that I hope you’ll feel is “home”—not just a place to stay. You’ll meet a host who is madly in love with her cats and eager to get to know you—and to meet new people.
The property is located in the centre of Amalfi, just over 100 easy steps from the high street. Once you reach No. 14, just follow the scent of lemons and flowers, and you’ll have arrived at your destination. If you spot one or more cats, you’ll know for sure you’re in the right place. The apartment consists of an entryway with a sleeper sofa, a bright double bedroom with a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a second bathroom. The bedroom and the entryway, where the sofa is located, are equipped with LCD TVs and air conditioning. Free Wi-Fi is available. Beyond these amenities, this home is home to four cats who won’t enter your space unless you invite them to.
I left my job as a cook for personal reasons and decided to embark on this adventure—which isn’t new to me, since my mum used to rent out rooms. I recently renovated the apartment and hope to make my mum—who is no longer with me—proud of me. Actually, I’m not the real owner—my four cats are, the masters of my heart and my life. I have to mention them to make sure my guests aren’t bothered by their presence. They are an integral part of IL GATTO FRANCO. I hope you’ll get to meet Nemesi, Baby, Cookie, and Teti—and that you’ll be treated to plenty of purring.
THE CATHEDRAL, THE BEACH, THE SHOPS, THE GARAGE, THE BUSES, AND THE FERRIES ARE ALL A 10-MINUTE WALK FROM THE PROPERTY. ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE MAIN STREET. EVEN IF IT SEEMS LIKE A MAZE, IT’S VERY EASY TO FIND YOUR WAY. THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS QUIET AND PEACEFUL
