"Be a part of the family!"
This bed and breakfast is the most personal way to experience the Amalfi Coast! Gabriela is the proprietor and makes you feel like part of the family! Her handsome son is always ready and willing to lend a hand from coming out in the night to help us find the place, to offering a ride, and waiting to serve us a late breakfast on our day of departure! This family goes above and beyond to exceed expectations! Although my girlfriend and I had a car, the bus stop is close and the only way to truly have the local experience going into Amalfi. Gabriela is happy to share her expertise on any of your travel questions. best of all, we were there to share in the birth of Gabriela's first grand baby, little Gabriel! <3

"Absolutly brillent Food great service excerlent"
IT was a brillent stay at a first class establishment Only problem was the bus service. You need to be a Code Breaker at Bletchly Park to work out the time table. But we still had a ball.

"Wonderful B&B tucked away in a small Italian town."
My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Mamma Rosa. Angelo, the host, was exceptionally warm and accommodating. The B&B was clean, quiet, had gorgeous views. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We also took advantage of the homemade dinner service and organic homemade wine, and it was by far the best dinner that we had in Italy during the entire course of our stay. I recommend this B&B fully and without hesitation. My wife and I cannot wait to return to Mamma Rosa for our anniversary!

"A Little Piece of Heaven"
A gorgeous family run farm where the owners , Nicolo and Mikela went out of their way to make us feel at home. They made sure every need was met and special mention needs to be made of Rosario, the local taxi driver, whom Nicolo arranged to have as our private driver. No way were we tackling those roads in a hire car. Rosario was a wealth of knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for him. Antonio, the waiter was outstanding too. Breathtaking views and amazing food with homegrown delicacies at incredibly reasonable rates. Nicolo and Mikela you made our last few days in Italy memorable and special. Hope to make it back to your little piece of heaven again one day.

"In the hills above Amalfi with beautiful view"
We stayed in the hotel for five days after booking on-line. It was a bit challenging to find and driving in the whole Amalfi area was challenging. The hotel was very peaceful and the views were beautiful from the room's balcony. The pool was open until seven and we ate good breakfasts in the pool area which was very nice. We had dinner one evening which was nicely cooked. It is possible to take a shuttle bus into Amalfi or use the local SETA bus outside the hotel.

Antonio took excellent care of us. Most gracious of hosts and his knowledge of the area was unsurpassed. Excellent cook as well, and I work in the food service industry so I would know. I will stay here again in the future and would suggest it to any and ask whom are interested. Thanks again Antonio!

"Incredible experience"
Staying at the La Culla degli Angeli was such a pleasant surprise. My husband and I were travelling to Amalfi on our honeymoon and booked this villa super last minute. What greeted us was a beautiful escape perched high up on the hills. We couldn't get over the beautiful grounds covered in colourful tile and fruit trees. This is a great location if you want to visit surrounding towns like Positano, Ravello, Capri and Sorrento but it's also a great place to just hang out by the pool. We were really sad to leave La Culla degli Angeli and look forward to returning again in the future.

"From Perth to Positano........."
It's always a little scary when booking accommodation on the net in a country on the other side of the world.......but we made an excellent choice. The best thing was its location...anything higher would have been too far away from everything ie restaurants, shopping, beach. Our room was on the first level with a view obscured by a tree but our traveling companions were higher and in a larger room which would have been better. The rooms were clean, comfortable, we had free wifi, breakfast was delivered each morning precisely at the time requested and always with a smile. Positano is beautiful beyond words however 5 days there was perhaps 1 day too long, unless you love to sit around relaxing . Coming from Perth we are spoilt with our snow white beaches - the sand here is more like dirt. Our day trip to Capri was enjoyable and we used Rainbow Limos to pick us up from Naples and engaged their services again for a day trip along the Amalfi coast. Our driver was Nadia an absolutely delightful local girl who knew all the best spots to explore and spoke perfect English (she is a must). We were all happy to walk on level ground again. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Dimora del Podestà - Positano Hotels

Dimora del Podestà

Viale Pasitea 256, Positano - Map
"Authentic Italian Experience"
If you are looking for great views, very friendly hosts, oodles of restaurant choices, then Positano is for you. Mind you, along with that comes lots of stairs to climb, narrow streets, wild Italian drivers and hot temperatures - but it is all worth it. Dimora del Podesta is a small B&B in what I was told is a 500 or so year old building. No worries though, it is up to date and very casual. Each room has a private balcony overlooking the narrow street with those great Amalfi coast views. The host provided breakfast on the balcony each morning. A 10% discount in the restaurant below was also granted as the family owns it as well. Each evening the music from the restaurant and from some travelling musicians provided a pleasant atmosphere to sit and relax on the balcony or in the room. Location is great but beware, there are a lot of steps to get to the beach. Of course going down is ok - it's the return trip that stretches the limits of your physical abilities. If you have any problems walking, best to take a taxi or rent a motorbike. We'd return for a second visit in a heartbeat!
