"We were visiting from the US and visiting Colditz Castle. This stop was wonderful with clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations. The water park is a big hit with the locals and visitors alike. Some of the best food we had on our trip. I'd definitely choose to stay again."
"This hotel was more "western" in the room size and overall expanse. We used the hotel as a base to search neighboring towns for genealogical clues to my fathers relatives. Nice big room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast (and dinner one night). Paid parking was onsite and convenient. The showerhead was in rough shape, but it was the weekend and I guess the maintenance staff wasn't available, as it didn't get fixed. Nonetheless, a perfectly enjoyable hotel stay."
"Good location. Short walk into town.
Bed very comfortable and room was cleaned every 2 days with linens changed.
Owner was very nice and helpful.
Would stay here again.
Good value. "
"We stayed one night while travelling home. The hotel was very nice and clean. The only problem we had was it was very hot and we couldn’t turn the heating off. Would recommend this hot as the setting is beautiful and the surrounding are very quiet. "

Perched on a rocky outcrop, the medieval Schloss Altenburg houses a fascinating playing card museum where you can learn about the birthplace of Germany's national card game, Skat. Explore the acclaimed Lindenau Museum's art collection, then wander to the Rote Spitzen ('Red Spires') and charming Inselzoo, a tiny island zoo in the middle of the Grosser Teich pond.
"Sehr netter Empfang, alles gepflegt und sauber. Schöne, ruhige und ordentliche Zimmer, erstklassiges Frühstück, sehr nette Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal. Ausreichend Parkplätze und sehr gut gelegen.
Hervorragendes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis!"
"The checkin was really unprofessional, nothing was prepared, all data had to be filled out again on paper, the staff was absolutely not welcoming. They did not even inform me about a 25 EUR early checkin fee upfront.
They gave me a room right above the smoking area. It smelled and was noisy.
At the checkout they claimed I had breakfast. Never did and never ordered it. The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly at all. Not what I expected at this house. Poor!"
