"Great place, nice surroundings, literally few minutes walk to the beach. Henry, the owner, is definitely doing everything to make the place friendly and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool and free "all day" breakfast at Iguana bar. The only not exactly positive thing to mention was loud music from a restaurant on the beach (they have live music on weekends), but I think you would hear it in the radius of at least half a mile, so no matter what hotel you choose, weekend nights are not going to be quiet in San Juan del Sur. "

"I loved everything about Totoco. The rooms, the location, the staff, the food, the views, it was a very comfortable stay! I got a full body massage from Lydia and it was the best I ever had in my life. Miguel seemed to be in charge of things and he was extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating. Pictures don’t do justice of this place. The property is full off the most beautiful gardens with crowds of butterflies overlooking the lake and volcano. There are bugs, but that’s what you’re going to get for being in such a beautiful location. The road going up there is also very rocky and I found a bit difficult to get up and down on my motorbike - just something to think about. Wouldn’t have been as bad with a quad or car. If you aren’t seasoned I would recommend parking it somewhere along the bottom of the mountain, when you first pull onto the road and just walk up/down from there. I walked at night in the dark to and from and felt completely safe the entire time, although there are dogs that will bark. I didn’t pay them any attention and they did not bother me. 10/10!!!"
