It enjoyed the location as there was a bike trail by the river in the back to use. It was close to downtown to walk to places to eat and explore.

No one cleaned our room, despite two requests - including one to housekeeping who was standing right outside our door as my husband left and promised they’d clean our room next. We called ahead to ask for a rollaway bed, then asked at check-in. Both times we were told the hotel was busy (for different reasons) with no extra beds. When we asked a third staff member, she actually made a request - and there were beds available. It was strange that the first two staff members never even checked. The hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable otherwise, and well located.

Room was very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was not as good as I've had in other IHG sites. The location is exceptional. You can get to anywhere in Alpena in a few minutes and you can wall to shops, cinema, and restaurants in a few minutes as well.
