Thought I was stopping at a bar at first but the staff was great and pointed out the lodge rooms behind the bar/ restaurant on a slight hill with a nice view overlooking the bay. The House of Whisky was great for tastings of whisky and gin. Eat oysters at the Oyster Bar before heading to the Cheese Company for lunch. The Honey Palce is well worth a visit, amazing slection of honeys.

Meals and service at the hotel were great. Only other shop within walking distance though is the General Store, which closes at 4pm
