"There is nothing about this hotel that says “Wyndham”. More like hotel of horrors. First, it’s a MOTEL not a hotel. The rooms smells like straight bleach like they’re trying to cover a murder. There is no direct beach assess as pictured in the images on Expedia. In fact, the hotel in the images is NOT hotel Manteo at all. Beware. I ended up checking out and driving up to the Hilton garden inn in Kitty Hawk because I was too creeped out to stay there. "

"In the heart of Manteo, everything and place is walkable. Staff were super pleasant and informative. The breakfast was incredible."

"We had made online reservations and even received the early checkin email. Upon arrival, the place was closed for renovations, but yet I was able to orignally register and checkin. It asked for ID, etc. There was a banner with a phone number to call, which I did. We were directed to come down to the Manteo Motor Lodge where we were told we could stay for the same price. This was NOT what I registered for. We were informed they had problems with the website. It sounded like a sketchy situation since the banner had the phone number of the Manteo Motor Lodge which was substandard. This left me scrambling for a place to stay. All of this was horrible business and Hotels.com should NOT be part of this. No apology, no communication. Shame on all of you since this felt like a sham and a scam. One would assume the Scarborough Inn was reopening for the season as it took my reservation. "

"Clean, comfortable and affordable room with nice shower! Bri met us with a smile and showed us around the place. We were not able to use the cute fire-pit area or tiki bar due to inclement weather, but I'm sure it's a hit on nice evenings. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the main house. Rooms come with a fridge which is great if you go out to eat and have leftovers. Centrally located on the island. "

"This adorable cottage was ideal for my weekend in Manteo! The location can't be beat—easy walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping. The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and helpful throughout my stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore downtown Manteo on foot!"
