I moved from Lincolnshire to Scotland to buy a property. While the purchase was going through I stayed in the lodge for 2 weeks. The setting is stunning and the views and walks were spectacular. The cottage is warm, clean, well with everything you could need. The Wi-Fi was powerful enough for me to be able to work from. The welcome gifts were greatly appreciated and the property managers were so helpful and kind. It’s a cottage that I self highly recommend.

Cottage is lovely.
Cottage is lovely. Parking outside back door. Large garden. Inside the cottage is clean and cosy. The heating works well and we found the cottage nice and warm - we went in October. The shower works really well and is lovely to use. The double bed is really comfy and very clean, which was great. The carpets seemed to be new as they were very thick and great to walk on. There is a dishwasher and washing machine and fridge freezer and also a separate fridge. The TV was a hit with my husband too. The area is gorgeous, with Alford literally around 3 mins drive away. Lots of parking in Alford and shops that you need. We had a Chinese takeaway from the Great Wall Chinese and it was very tasty.

A lovely rural cottage with great days out to be had (forests, rivers, coastline and historic sites)
A lovely rural cottage with great days out to be had (forests, rivers, coastline and historic sites). It was probably one of the most well equipped cottages we've ever stayed in. The local CO-OP in Alford was well visited. Would certainly recommend it to friends and family.
