"Mixed weather to start with. The land needed it badly! Took a trip back to Lisbon oceanarium on a wetter day and an evening trip to the Roman baths in Evora. Beautiful drive through the cork trees. "Our stay at Moinho do Marco, also known as the windmill, was truly outstanding. A unique location with panoramic views of the ocean and Setabul surrounding areas. Staying in an old windmill, which has been lovingly restored, is a once in a lifetime experience. The host, Guadeloupe, was absolutely fantastic, very accommodating and a wealth of information about the Setabul area. We give everything about our stay a five star rating!!!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay in the villa. Everything was provided as stated and it was comfortable and very clean. The area is very quiet, there is a small local shop that provides essentials and there are lots of local walks full of wildlife if you don't want to drive. It is a short drive from two towns where there are shops and restaurants and close to plenty of beautiful coastal areas to explore. "

"Nice quiet stay away from the hustle of downtown Comporta (~12 min drive). I enjoyed walking to nearby local coffee shop for my espresso and the Leonardo supermarket for some daily supplies. I’m a little on the taller side; so, had to watch my head when walking through the doors (not an issue if one is under 5’10”). Otherwise, having a/c here is a big plus and necessary given the strong summer alentejo sun."
