The cottage is located smack in the middle of old town Albufeira, very close to the beach and just around the corner from lots of restaurants, shops, and bars, and therefore a popular tourist destination. As the cottage is located at the end of a dead-end residential street, you are in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, but still in a quiet and calm place.

## Transit

You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or taxi/uber to travel around town. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. Parking in old town Albufeira is challenging, therefore we recommend you to use one of the parking areas on the outskirts of the city and walk or take a taxi from there.

Wonderful old beach town.

A great experience during the day. But as we are not party animals, we found it extremely noisy at night.

Property was quaint and mostly clean. We did have some ants, crickets and what appeared to be small roaches in the bathroom on the main floor. Not quite as advertised when it said at the end of a dead end street and provided the perfect calm and quiet space in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It was quite loud until about 3 am. We had what I believe was a drain cover of sorts on the floor of the send floor bathroom that was broken and created a bit of a hazard. The drain cover was right in front of the toilet and if we had accidentally stepped on it/in it it could have created an injury due to sharp edges. This also emitted a sewer smell. We did contact the property manager who did respond but there was no action to repair this during our stay.

It was exactly what we needed

The property is perfectly situated, just up from the old town square. It’s right in the heart of things, with a grocery store only steps away. It’s an ideal base while in the town. It’s close to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Be prepared for a little bit of noise from the street as late-night revellers make their way home, but being at the centre of the action is well worth it. The property rental agency was responsive when things needed to be fixed. It’s a comfortable place in a great spot. We will be back
