We stayed in Villa 20A Andorinha, one of three villas whose photos misleadingly show only the best features. The reality was disappointing: the villa was old, degraded, and depressing. The entrance smelled bad, being next to club backyards with overnight rubbish.
The pool was dirty and unusable for the first three days. Despite our requests for cleaning, Jim ignored us, and Marco, the supposed manager, was rude and passive-aggressive. The pool was only cleaned after a break-in and vandalism occurred. The villa and surrounding properties lack gates, compromising privacy.
The furniture was outdated, the kitchen was poorly equipped, and the beds were uncomfortable with protruding springs. The villa needed significant refurbishment. We encountered cockroaches and ants, and our complaints were dismissed as a location issue. Only two AC units worked, one of which leaked, and the door locks were ineffective. There was insufficient storage for five beds, and the dining table only had four chairs despite the villa supposedly accommodating 12 people. Communication with Jim was non existence to our concerns and complains , all good reviews are from stags and groups of young people that alone should’ve been enough warning to us but based on the photos we still went ahead and booked it,
BIG MISTAKE !!
Our overall review of this villa it’s misleading in its advertising, we have stayed in villas all over the Algarve and it was definitely the worst we stayed in the last 15 years!!
