    ★★ WHAT FAMILIES LOVE★★

THE SPACE — ROOM TO BREATHE, ROOM TO GATHER

Here's what sets Mountain Whispers apart from every other Pocono rental: sheer, generous space.
At 3,600 square feet across two open, beautifully renovated floors, this is a home where 14+ people genuinely don't feel crowded. The grandparents can settle into a quiet moment in the family room while the kids are running the game room. Teenagers can claim the loft while parents linger over coffee on the deck. Toddlers can nap while the adults stay up late by the fire. There's room for all of it — simultaneously, comfortably, without anyone stepping on anyone else's weekend.

The layout flows naturally from one space to the next — living room to kitchen to deck to yard to hot tub — so the whole group stays connected even when everyone's doing something different. That's the magic of a house with real space: you're always together, never crowded

★★ THE DECK — YOUR OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM ★★

Imagine it: morning coffee in hand, mountain air cool and pine-scented, the whole group slowly waking up and drifting out one by one. By noon, someone has fired up the BBQ and the deck becomes the kitchen. By evening, the outdoor dining is set for 15, someone has brought out candles, and dinner stretches into the golden hour.
After dark, the string lights take over and conversations deepen into the kind that only happen far from the city — the ones that start at 10pm and somehow it's 1am and no one has moved.
Wide enough for a full family meal. Comfortable enough to stay all day. Private enough to feel like it's entirely yours. The deck isn't an add-on — it's where the trip actually happens.

★★ THE FIRE PITS/FIREPLACE — WHERE THE REAL CONVERSATIONS HAPPEN★★
There are two fire pits at Mountain Whispers, and both earn their keep.
Pull the Adirondack chairs into a circle, pass around the s'more supplies, and watch what happens. The kids figure out the perfect marshmallow technique. Someone tells a story that gets the whole group going. The little ones fall asleep against a parent's shoulder before they've finished their hot chocolate. The adults stay long after — because there's something about firelight and mountain quiet that unlocks conversations you never quite have at home. The kind about life, and plans, and memories that are being made right now, tonight, in this exact spot.
Two fire pits means the group naturally divides into its own rhythm — kids and teenagers at one, adults at the other — until someone bridges the gap and everyone ends up at the same one anyway.

    ★★ THE HOT TUB — EARNED RELAXATION★★
The private 6-person hot tub sits just off the deck, year-round, and it might be the most fought-over spot in the house.
After a full day skiing Big Boulder or hiking Hawk Falls, sinking into warm water while the mountain air is cold against your face is a very particular kind of relief. Steam rises. Shoulders unknot. The conversation drifts from the day's adventures to tomorrow's plans to nothing in particular.

★★ THE GAME ROOM — EVERY AGE, EVERY NIGHT★★

The game room was built for exactly one thing: making sure everyone, regardless of age, has an absurdly good time.
Pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, and a poker station for the competitive ones.
Nintendo gaming for the teenagers. Karaoke with dual wireless mics for the brave — and eventually, everyone. The built-in photo booth captures the moments: Grandma's unexpectedly show-stopping karaoke performance. Dad's face when he loses at foosball to a twelve-year-old. The whole family crowded into one photo booth frame, laughing too hard to hold still.
The bar area sits right alongside — dimmable lighting, cocktail recipe cards, glassware, and a large Smart TV so the adults can watch the game while the kids are in full tournament mode next door. Bring your own spirits and mixers; the rest is ready

    ★★ THE KITCHEN & DINING — EVERYONE GATHERS HERE★★

Great group trips are built around great meals, and Mountain Whispers gives you a kitchen that can actually handle them.
The open, fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and everything you'd need — utensils, dishware, pots, pans, spices — to cook for the whole crew. Start every morning at the Keurig station with hot or iced coffee, and watch the family drift in one by one, still half asleep but already smiling

★★ SLEEPING LAYOUT — SOMETHING FOR EVERY GENERATION★★
    (6 bedrooms · 10 beds · sleeps 16 comfortably)

    Sleep Arrangements:
✹ Bedroom 1: First floor, Queen sized bed - accessible for elderly
    ✹ Bedroom 2: Second floor, queen-sized bed
    ✹ Bedroom 3: Second floor queen-sized bed +Crib
✹ Bedroom 4: Second floor, Two Queen Beds + Private Ensuite Bath.

    ★★ OUTDOOR LIFE — THE LAKE, BEACH & COMMUNITY★★

Step out the front door, drive 2 minutes through the trees, and arrive somewhere that feels like it should be further away than it is.
The 90-acre private lake is clear, calm, and ringed with pine. Kids splash in the shallows while teenagers paddle out on kayaks. Parents settle into beach chairs and watch the afternoon slow down. The sandy beach has room to spread out, a community outdoor pool just steps from the shoreline, and a bar and restaurant right on the water for the nights when cooking feels like too much. A playground keeps the little ones occupied while the grown-ups actually get to finish a conversation.
Back at the house, the yard has two BBQ grills and enough outdoor space to run, play, or just wander. The wooded setting gives you privacy without isolation — private enough to feel like your own corner of the mountains, connected enough to everything that makes the Poconos worth the drive.

    ★★ WELLNESS, COMFORT & THOSE LITTLE DETAILS★★

Large home, fair price, very fun

I saw the bad review & was nervous about my stay but I reached out to the owner beforehand and he eased my concerns. The hot tub was working as well as the heat. The house had some wear and tear but for the size, amenities and location I thought the price was very fair.

good place and previous review not accurate

Booked this place as a Christmas gift for our kids and wanted a place to just hang out and play games and have plenty of room. It was perfect for that. The previous review had me second guessing my booking and reaching out to manager to request refund. He was more than willing to address my concerns and provide proof that listing was accurate and house was fine. The hot tub was working and we enjoyed it, the house warm and clean and spacious and each bedroom was exactly as stated in listing. Glad we did not cancel and would stay here again.

Great week in the Poconos!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. The house has tons of room. We loved seeing the deer right in the front and back yard almost everyday.

Solid Spot

Mother Nature spoiled most of our plans for a little worn out dad’s getaway, but no complaints about the house itself. VRBO did some sketchy stuff but host was good about helping resolve it.

Good

Very clean. Air conditioning wasn’t working upstairs, but owner had someone out to fix. Could use a little TLC, but perfect for us to have a great time with family. The beach at the lake was so fun and close. The rainy day we were able to enjoy the bar/game room with pool table etc. nice and roomy for the entire family to hang out in to play games.

Overall, the property and amenities were excellent. It was clean (maybe the floor was a little dusty) and had adequate utensils and cookware. It has plenty of space, bedding, and bathrooms. The price was also great. The only complaint is that there was FAR too much chlorine in the hot tub, which lead to dry skin and eye irritation while using it. The cover was also broken, but it's not particularly heavy to move and still kept most debris out of the water. Also be advised that the community requires parking and beach passes, which I didn't know about when purchasing (but that's on me).

The house was spacious and fit our needs well. But it was not as clean or fun as promised. The hot tub was broken and we were told they only use it in the fall and winter months. The playground was also dangerous and dirty, so none of the children played on it either. Your amenities for the property were misleading and not acceptable. We stayed the week and were able to enjoy the pool and other attractions in the area. Probably will not rent from you again

Fantastic Getaway!!!

This house is so big with three separate living areas which came in handy with 6 teens. The furniture is new and beautiful, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The appliances are brand new. The central air was wonderful during such a hot week. The pool table and shuffleboard table and the massive TVs kept the kids entertained when home. The house is just a short quick walk to Towamensing Trail Club house and lake/beach. The outside deck was so relaxing and deer came right up to see us. It was so peaceful. What a lovely home! We plan on booking again next year.

False listing

Don't waste your time and money. This letter constitutes a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable condition of the property during our stay. We encountered numerous safety hazards and maintenance issues that significantly impacted our experience and raised serious concerns about the property's suitability for rental.Specific Issues, Non-functional Hot Tub for months, Dangerous Front Step, Unlevel Pool Table, Malfunctioning Upstairs Heater: about 45 degrees in the master bedroom, Unsafe Brokjen Bunkbed, Inoperable Gas/Propane Heaters, Persistent Sewer Odor, Hazardous Flooring, Broken Window Blinds, Lack of Cleanliness: Unacceptable Business Practices: It is concerning to learn that even the cleaning staff's maintenance requests have been ignored by the property host. This, along with the "landscaper's" admission that he is not a qualified repairman, demonstrates a systemic disregard for property upkeep and tenant safety. The advertised hot tub was broken, which was incredibly disappointing for our birthday weekend getaway. The host's offered discount felt like a band-aid, not a solution, and the additional, delayed partial refund (80, arriving a month later) was insufficient. His handling of the situation was insulting, and VRBO was unhelpful, claiming we should have contacted them during the stay. Misrepresenting the property and prioritizing profit over guest experience is unacceptable.
