1800s Village Bakery Trullo - Terrace on the Basilica, Old Town

Stay in a piece of Alberobello’s history: a 19th-century trullo that was the town’s
public bakery until 1974. Restored with care, it keeps its star-shaped vaulted ceiling,
original fireplace and the old oven room, now a bedroom. Private terrace overlooking the Basilica, 2 min from Trullo Sovrano, on a quiet lane in the old town. 2 bedrooms, sleeps 6, A/C, fast Wi-Fi, full kitchen, washing machine. Self check-in from 3 pm, any arrival time.
The house – Built in the early 1800s, L’Antico Forno blends a traditional trullo with a
typical “a cummerse” house. For generations locals brought their bread here to bake: you can still see the wooden frame of the oven door in the main hall, under the striking star-shaped ceiling.
Sleeping – Ground-floor bedroom (once the oven room): double bed. Bedroom 2: double bed, small balcony and a small sofa bed suited to a child. Living room: XXL double sofa bed. Cot on request.
Bathrooms – 1 full bathroom with bathtub + 1 extra guest WC with washbasin.
Kitchen – Fully equipped, with the original fireplace under the old alcoves; coffee
machine, kettle, fridge, dining table.
Outside – Private terrace facing the Basilica of Saints Cosmas and Damian – perfect for breakfast or an evening glass of Primitivo.
