Dette hotel egner sig ikke til børnefamilier!! Hotellet har ringe serviceforhold og elendig comfort på værelset, dårlig spiseforhold, forfaldne bad og toilet faciliteter, samt forfaldne udendørsarealer. En turistfælde placeret i skøn natur, som skulle have været et fint mellemstop på turen i Norge. Vi havde booket et familieværelse til 3 personer (2 voksne og 1 barn) men fik to enkelt senge og to sovesofaer og der var kun lavet opredning til to voksne. Værelset var i ringe forfatning, beskidt, og slidt. Bad/toilet var ikke opdateret i dette århundrede hvilket betød at man havde fornøjelsen af at høre på et toilet der løb hele natten og en bruseranordning som efterlod vand på hele gulvet. Vi blev spurgt ved ankomst om vi ville spise på hotellet, som vi takkede ja til. Der var kun et skilt hvor der stod hvad de 3 retter bestod i. Ingen pris og Ikke om man kunne nøjes med hovedret, Ingen alternative retter eller børnemenu, højstol. Maden temmelig smagsløs, desserten var en 80'er anretning Middagen var en sær 'fællesaffodring' af gæsterne som gik igang præcis kl 18.30 NB! Morgenmad serveres FØRST fra kl 8.30-9.30. Indtil da kan automatkaffe købes til 33,-kr Det ses tydeligt at hotellet ikke har fokus på flere kundesegmenter men kun personer der sidder fast i 70,- 80'erne. Legeplads samt legeområder(låst af om eftermiddagen) er i så ringe stand så det ikke burde anvendes. Ligeledes har der ikke været fokus på at vedligeholde udearealer så man kan bevæge sig sikkert rundt.

Et praktisk og koselig opphold

Godt gjort av Rødungstølen å holde det gående så bra etter et vanskelig år. Ikke luksus, men hotellet fungerer bra. Flott beliggenhet i HØYFJELLET - i et område jeg er glad i (men første opphold på dette hotellet). Litt mer vekt på enkelt vedlikehold trengs; - hadde med en skrutrekker slik at låse-hendelen på vinduet ble skrudd skikkelig fast igjen. Maten var helt grei og smittevernet var godt tilpasset.
