Welcome to Les Contemporains, a unique accommodation offering combining two independent apartments — a studio and a one-bedroom apartment — located on the ground floor of the same traditional building in the heart of Aix-en-Provence’s historic city centre, just 25 metres from Cours Mirabeau.

Booked together, these two apartments can accommodate up to 4 guests while allowing everyone to enjoy their own space, independence and privacy.

This arrangement is particularly suitable for two couples, a family, friends or travellers wishing to stay together while enjoying two separate living spaces.

Enjoy an exceptional location from which to explore Aix-en-Provence entirely on foot. Cours Mirabeau, the Mazarin district, Provençal markets, restaurants, cafés, museums, shops and iconic squares are all just steps away.

Your reservation at Les Contemporains includes both of the following independent apartments:

Studio Apartment – Sleeps 2

A renovated and fully equipped studio featuring:

An open-plan living area with an equipped kitchen.

A compact refrigerator.

A hob.

A Nespresso coffee machine.

Kitchenware and cooking utensils.

A lounge area with two armchairs and a television.

A sleeping area with a comfortable 160 × 200 cm double bed.

A bathroom with a shower.

A separate toilet.

A washing machine.

Wi-Fi.

A portable air-conditioning unit and a fan.

Important information about air conditioning:

The studio is equipped with a portable air-conditioning unit, which requires an exhaust hose to be positioned towards the outside.

Please note that this is not a fixed or central air-conditioning system. Due to regulations applicable to Aix-en-Provence’s historic city centre, the installation of a fixed air-conditioning system is not permitted in the property.

One-Bedroom Apartment – Sleeps 2

A renovated and fully equipped one-bedroom apartment featuring:

A living area with an equipped open-plan kitchen.

Two Independent Living Spaces

By booking Les Contemporains, you will have access to:

A travel cot for babies is available in each apartment.

This arrangement allows you to enjoy a shared stay in Aix-en-Provence while benefiting from greater privacy than a traditional apartment accommodating four guests.

Bed linen and towels are provided in both apartments, including:

Upon arrival, you will find the following essentials to help you get started.

Please note that these supplies are provided as a complimentary starter kit and are not replenished during your stay:

Laundry detergent and basic cleaning products.

Two rolls of toilet paper per toilet.

Shower gel.

Sugar, tea and coffee (one serving per person).

Oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

PARKING

The apartments do not have private parking spaces.

It may be possible to stop briefly nearby to unload your luggage, depending on traffic and access restrictions in the historic centre.

Several paid public car parks are available nearby:

Parking Carnot – The closest option, located on Boulevard Carnot, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Les Contemporains is located in the very heart of Aix-en-Provence’s historic city centre, just a few steps from the famous Cours Mirabeau.

From the apartments, you can easily explore:

Cours Mirabeau and its cafés, restaurants and terraces.

Caumont – Centre d’Art.

Musée Granet.

Place des Quatre-Dauphins.

Place des Prêcheurs, its fountain and Provençal market.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING

Both apartments are located on the ground floor of a traditional building in the historic centre, next to each other.

Please note: The apartments are situated in a central and lively area. Occasional noise from city-centre activity may therefore be heard.

We prefer to make you aware of this in advance so that you can book with full knowledge of the surroundings.

Important: Les Contemporains consists of two separate and independent apartments booked together. It is not a single apartment accommodating four guests.

Each apartment has its own living space, kitchen, bathroom and toilet, allowing everyone to enjoy their privacy.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Before your arrival, you will receive all the necessary information regarding access to both apartments, along with practical instructions for your stay.

Check-in: From 3:00 PM, with self-check-in.

Please let us know your estimated arrival time in advance.

Check-out: Before 10:00 AM.

Any request for early check-in or late check-out must be made no later than 6:00 PM on the previous day and is subject to availability in both apartments.

Optional services:

Early check-in from 12:00 PM: €60.

Early check-in from 1:00 PM: €50.

Late check-out until 12:00 PM: €60.

Additional cleaning services can also be arranged during your stay upon request.

HOUSE RULES

Out of respect for the neighbours:

Parties and gatherings are strictly prohibited.

Playing loud music is strictly forbidden.

The apartments are reserved exclusively for the guests listed on the reservation.

Outside visitors are not permitted without prior approval.

TRANSPORT

🚆 Aix-en-Provence Centre Train Station

The city-centre train station is within walking distance of the apartments and provides connections to Marseille and various regional destinations.

🚌 Aix-en-Provence Bus Station

The bus station serves numerous destinations and also provides connections to Aix-en-Provence TGV station and Marseille Provence Airport.

🚄 Aix-en-Provence TGV Station

The high-speed train station is located outside the city centre.

The A2 shuttle bus connects Aix-en-Provence’s central bus station with the TGV station and Marseille Provence Airport.

✈️ Marseille Provence Airport

The airport is directly connected to Aix-en-Provence bus station by the A2 shuttle.
