"Castle Daniel was an amazing experience! The property is very well-maintained, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The meals were very good. The staff were all excellent, and recommended several great activities nearby (including visiting the Suto family of artisans, and visiting Kalnoky Castle.) The best part, though, was the spa. The pool was long and pristine, and the jacuzzi and steam room were divine. We can't recommended Castle Daniel enough!"

"I’ve been staying at Park Hotel since 2007. It’s a nice, cozy place, with excellent value for the money. Very quiet for being situated in the middle of the city. Nice surrounding park. Free private parking. It’s been constantly upgraded, but not really up to date. Breakfast is not included, it’s pricey and lacking. The restaurant menu is surprisingly poor. "

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Aita Mare?
The best area to stay in Aita Mare is generally within the village centre or the immediate surrounding countryside, offering convenient access to local amenities and the region's natural beauty.

The village centre of Aita Mare itself is quite compact, with the main road, DJ121, running through it. This area provides easy access to the few local shops and eateries. Staying here means you're close to the heart of village life and can easily reach the local church or other community hubs.

Couples looking for a quiet retreat will appreciate accommodations slightly outside the village centre, located in the surrounding countryside. These often offer more privacy and direct access to hiking trails and the natural landscapes of Covasna County. It's an ideal choice for those who want to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, perhaps with views of the rolling hills or forests.

For travellers interested in exploring the wider region, staying in the village centre provides a practical base. It allows for straightforward day trips to nearby towns like Sfântu Gheorghe or to explore the natural parks.

The temperatures are comfortably mild, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking or exploring the local villages. Early autumn offers a spectacular display of changing leaf colours, with warm, sunny days often lingering into October. This period is superb for enjoying the harvest season, perhaps sampling local produce or attending smaller, regional festivals.
