"Such a treat to find a charming, out of the way destination that offers so much. Great route there is via the FREE Jamestown - Surry ferry (5 mins away). My suite (bedroom, bathrooms in oom, living room with kitchenette and balcony) was bigger and nicer than many apartments. The view from that balcony - across the marina and river - are spectacular and the sunset was beautiful. Below is a popular, buzzing bar/restaurant with a great selection of seafood and more. Sound insulation is great. I heard nothing from neighboring rooms or downstairs. The restaurant is not open for breakfast so bring some fruit and pastries. There is a good coffee machine with coffee and creamer in the room. Reception is ‘virtual’ and there are no hotel staff on site. You’ll get an access code for your room after 3pm (check in time). Cell signal is weak but they’ll give you WiFi access in the restaurant. Overall, highly recommended."

"Property outside was trashy. Lots of piled up trash. Inside, the room was nice. Everything worked. Parking was extremely limited. Many vehicles parking on grass or in no parking zones. Parking lot pavement was horrible. We never saw housekeeping the entire 9 days we were here."

"We loved this location for our group. It wasn't far from Williamsburg or Petersburg. It was nice not to be cramped in a condo or townhouse, and have some nature around. You aren't going to make a quick trip to the store, so don't forget what you need when you are in town."
