"I have never really written reviews for properties on Expedia previously. This is the first one. I stayed in this place in Aug 2022 while on TMB. I could not find a refuge on the trail and decided to try this venue. I will absolutely do it all over again. To begin with, the owner, Alfred, was very responsive before the trip. He initiated contact through Expedia and made sure that we were on the same page in terms of arrival and departure schedule and made restaurant recommendations. We arrived...

"Very nice place to stay with an excellent bar and restaurant. Although burger place across the street was not very good. Staff speaks English and are professional and helpful. Hotel is very close to a gondola making for easy access to the slopes. One drawback was that our building did not have an elevator."

"Great location and decent sized rooms in comparison with some other places I have stayed in Val D'Isere in previous years. A big negative though was noise... the walls between rooms have very little soundproofing meaning that noisy neighbours make their presence felt! In our case a large group who liked to party at 2.30 am meant we got very little sleep. The hotel did its best in trying the get the other guests to show consideration, but to little effect."

"The hotel is tired and dated. The decor is old fashioned and there are parts of the hotel that are in need of updating or repair, especially the area near the ski locker room. There is a lack of atmosphere in the hotel, which is a shame as it could be a great place.
It is in a great location for the ski lift, and the rooms were comfortable and showers were good. "

"it was the worst experience I ever had booking with Hotels.
It is not a place or management team that is worth of being on your platform.
In the email of confirmation there was nothing said about the place not offering bed linen, towels or even TOILET PAPER..... indeed we arrived and had none of the above.
The place does not allow to walk with ski boots but we didn't get access to the boots area to store our skies and boots...
I was almost forgetting, broken shower indeed!

SKI in SKI out Apartment Les Arcs, Paradiski, French Alps
Summer: Bike Golf Walk
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at Sharonâs place. I can see why she, as a host, is so highly rated. Sharon took care of everything which came up and was very helpful. The location is superb, literally steps from the lift with a great view. Beautifully fitted out flat, with access to conveniences just steps away. "
CHALET FARM LA LAITERIE 200m walking to ski lift Peisey-Vallandry PARADISKI
2/10 Terrible
"the house did not meet our expectations at all. too few kitchen utensils. not clean glasses and dirty pans in the cupboards. very dusty decoration and lampshades. the showers are very, very small and the shower heads fell out of support of some showers. Shower hoses not firmly in the support so that the head comes out of support and the bathroom is under water. some rooms/bathrooms had no or very poorly functioning heating. Dirty wipes in a bedside table of room 3. The shower door is in poor condition in room 3. the fridge was broken and everything was frozen. Not always hot water. We find this house worthy of a very bad review. I don't understand the posted reviews of previous vacationers at all.We go on a ski holiday every year and have never experienced this before. the only thing we liked was the sitting area which was very cozy with the heater. we will not come back."
Arcs 1800, 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5, close to slopes, balcony with Mont-Blanc view
6/10 Okay
"At the quieter end of Les Arcs 1800 but still only a 10 min walk into town. Apartment is a good size, has all you might need with good hanging space. Bathroom could do with a refurb; the shower is a hand held affair which not ideal.Plenty of room to sit, eat, play cards. Kitchen is small but functional. The only way to get air into the apartment is by leaving the balcony door open, no independent windows to the upstairs bedrooms. Lower floor is fine but upstairs is limited, anyone over 185 cms is going to have to bend their heads to move around. Staircase is also narrow.Charmettoger, the nearest lift involves a 10 minute climb up a snowy or icy slope. It's a pity there aren't steps. Skiing back is also for the confident, but it's an easy enough walk back to the building from the same spot.Generally this area has good access if you want to head across to La Plagne or use the Transarc lift to get to the higher areas above 1950. You can also ski back to close to the apartment directly from the Folie Douce. We had a major problem getting access to the apartment out of hours. I think the problem is unlikely to repeat itself, but best if you can arrive whilst the concierge service is still open. Linen service was excellent. We were just 3 and that's ideal, but it will accommodate 5 if you're ok with cosy."
"The apartment was ideal for our family of 6. It was less than a minute away from a major chairlift and a gondola lift. Ski storage was easily accessible once we figured out where it was. Breakfast could be ordered at reception which helped a lot. Gym, Sauna and steam rooms were a welcome addition for some of us. Our balcony had a great view, which we loved especially on New Year's Eve."
