"This is a family chateaux with walled in parking out front, now operating as a boutique Hotel. The owner still lives on site, and the rooms are generously large and very quiet at night. The parking was easy, and secured with a locked gate at night. Breakfast was a basic contental, more than sufficient for us. No fancy coffees though. We initially had difficultly finding the entrance, as Expedia says #2 when the gate is actually 180-degrees around the block at #1. But in retrospect, it should be very easy to find, with the gate facing the huge church (currently undergoing restoration). One downside: excellent hosts, very accommodating, but they smoke (mainly outside). So our room reeked of cigarettes. All else was wonderful, with good internet, strong shower, good heat pump, etc. "

"Not as advertised! The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Those are the only good things I can say. I checked in late at night and had to return to reception to ask for towels because there were none at all in the room. Air conditioning did not work and when I went back to reception again and asked for a different room the receptionist told me that no rooms in the entire hotel had functioning air con. It's a budget hotel and I didn't expect luxury but I do expect the room to be as advertised and the lack of air conditioning is unforgivable. I was likewise unimpressed that neither of the two receptionists I spoke to could speak English even though the hotel is advertised to have multilingual staff with English specifically mentioned. It's the false advertising I object to, not the actual absence of language skills. I've complained to Expedia but they tell me if could take months to correct the way the place is advertised."
