"Upon arrival, the staff greeted us by saying, “Welcome Home”. I have never received such a warm reception of hospitality by a hotel. The dinner, the rooms, the staff, the jazz brunch, and the tour, were amazing!! I am already planning my next stay. My only regret, is wishing I knew about the hotel sooner. "
"I think it's important to know this is someone's house with a few hotel rooms upstairs. There are some less-than-ideal aspects. The place is very echoey, so if the owners are entertaining downstairs you will hear it in your room. The lighting is very harsh, bright white, which is a big no for me personally. "We would highly recommend staying here. The staff are friendly accomodating and made us feel at home. The room is very clean and the property beautiful. Warren is an exceptional host and works hard to ensure your stay is perfect. The breakfast is wonderful and the dinner (we had fish) was super yummy 😋 Thank you all for taking such good care of us."

"Beautiful historic property and lovely room. Really enjoyed the tub, and the outdoor shower was a surprise. Wonderful for anyone who enjoys old estates. "
"It is a very eclectic hotel with unique lounging areas on the different floors. Staff were great and breakfast was good. There was an issue with no curtains or shades on the door to one of the balconies in our room but being on the 3rd floor mitigate any exposure. We will definitely stay again if we are ever in Johannesburg again "
