"Simply outstanding hotel near Addo Elephant Park. Special mention for Edwin on front of house who accomodated our dietary needs perfectly. The food was simply spectacular at both breakfast and dinner and the setting overlooking a pond with weaver birds is very special. The photos dont do justice to the welcome you receive as the futnishings are a little old school, but the room size and facilities are very good. Trips to Addo on their landcruiser were easy and trouble free. "

"What can we say this place took our breathe away! Such a beautiful setting with the accommodation set right amongst the natural surroundings of how these animals should be seen. The staff again like at Tsala in Plettenberg were amazing and can’t do enough to help you during your stay and after too. The guides are extremely knowledgable and welcome all questions and make you feel very comfortable and at ease during the game drives. For anybody wanting a unique safari experience with game animals...

"A great place if you want to be 'off grid' for a bit. Lovely location and accommodation with great wide views. All the staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. Our evening meals were faultless. We are happy to recommend and hope to return again one day. We would suggest of if you are want to do a trip into Addo Elephant Park with the lodge, that you book in advance. However, we went on the trip with Schotia Game reserve which was very good, which the lodge can organise for...

"Set inside Addo, you get 5 star service, and knowledgeable game guides who zero in on your individual needs. Lots of elephants, kudu, zebra, and a mating pair of lions made for outstanding sightings."

"Rooms nicely air conditioned and clean . Pool and grounds well kept. Found pool area lounges needing upgrade..very uncomfortable. Meals very mediocre... and dinner overpriced for what was served. Cleaning staff exceptionally friendly. Owners - we've had better! Some soft background music could be nice in lapa...to create some much needed ambience"
