"If you are looking for somewhere central this apartment is in the very centre of town and the Saturday market. It is not for those less able as there are 3 flights of stairs to the apartment. When you are at the front door the neighbours dog barks. We appreciate there is nothing that can be done about this. "Staff was real freindly, the taphouse and room was beautiful, very old school feel to it and its Historic value, spent 6 hours in the room, made use of the 100+ available channels on the TV, wifi secure and fast, room temperature was excellent. "The hotel is charming and in an excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury. The room was very comfortable. As the hotel is in a very old building you need to be aware of steps and slopes in the floor and the stairs are quite steep (no lift). The bar is good, and the food we had at both dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. The hotel has a small car park, with quite a narrow entrance. We were fine getting in, but, in any case there is plenty of reasonably priced parking not far away. The hotel is close to the river and we would also recommend visiting the prison! The staff were friendly and helpful."
