"we stayed 5 nights. Although it seems that the hotel is not full, the receptionist refused to give us an upgrade to see view room. Room was comfortable, but bed is not very comfortable. On the contrary to the reception, the staff in the bar and on the terrace with the pool was very friendly and helpful, especially the life guard boy(I don't know his name) who gave us many tips of local interest, where to eat as a local, what is worth visiting, where to shop... If you plan to stay there you need...

"The setting of this beautiful hotel is stunning, there are views of Mt Etna and the sea everywhere. The Hotel grounds are full of specimen trees and bushes from around the World, lush and gorgeous! We stayed in a Romantic Chalet that was so roomy and spacious and well furnished with glimpses of the sea through the foliage. Each long was so secluded and private. We had the added bonus of a private hot pool/

outside on the deck outside our window. However it is the staff that take the Donna...

"The property is very beautiful and the views of the sea from the slope of the Etna are spectacular. Very quiet, comfortable accommodations, very nice swimming pool. The location is excellent, a short drive to the sea and also close to Taormina and Catania, which was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. I would love to go back for a longer stay."

"Positives: - reception staff are extremely welcoming and helpful - the main pool is great - variety of food options at dinner buffet Negatives: - breakfast / dinner / poolside service is terrible, inefficient and chaotic (tables not cleared, food not replenished, no knives and forks etc) - management issue not the fault of any of the servers - generally quite dated look to the resort - rooms are too dark - no water to shower one evening - overpriced "
