"Me and my husband stayed in room 1 for 1 night and we were blown away by the great standard of La Vieja Botica. The room was excellent, loved the interior. The bed and the linen was luxurious as well as the towels. The host was so sweet and helpful in every way. We would very much recommend this place and would like to come again. "The property was a little tricky to find. It needs a satnav for sure, as it is set back off a busy road. At first it takes you to the banquet, conference rooms, which we're totally empty & eerily quiet upon arrival. The hotel is off to the right of this. The hotel itself is overlooking the sea & my room had great sea views. The pool area is nice too. In places it looks a little tired but the room was nice, bed comfortable & area very peaceful. I would stay again"

"Although it’s a beautifully renovated building in the residential part of the old town of Velez-Málaga, the photos are somewhat misleading. Pool is a jacuzzi that is no longer functioning. Ground floor rooms are dark, with no views and portable air conditioning units. There was no wifi in our room—only in the common areas. Parking can be difficult."
