"If you like to be surrounded by wood, this is your place. We felt like we were in a mountain cabin, yet we were in the middle of the city. Everything worked great especially the air conditioner!! Decor was really interesting and was fun to investigate. We like to cook and it had everything we needed for a nice meal. Location was perfect near the college and the downtown area. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Abilene."

"We were in town to visit our daughter in college and extended family. The property was just what we needed. We had one minor issue that the owner addressed right away. My only recommendation would be to have a broom and dust pan available. Our youngest isn’t the neatest eater and a broom would have been helpful to clean up after her. 😀"

"This little bungalow is perfect for families with young children. It's in a secluded, country neighborhood with minimal traffic, and the back yard is fenced. There's lake access as well, and the neighbors have several friendly animals (dogs, cats, lambs, chickens). There are plenty of toys and games for the kids, and we thought the selection of wholesome books (Laura Ingalls Wilder) was a nice touch. "It needed hand soap at the sinks. We found some in a closet but not enough. Only had one roll of toilet paper. Contacted the host and she brought us more. Had trouble locking most of the doors. The apartment was very nice and decorated to be very inviting. "

"We were so pleasantly surprised how serene Mimi’s House was. A beautiful backyard for conversation and bird listening. There was a great kitchen to work in as we were there for the birth of a granddaughter. The location was convenient to the hospital and restaurants. We will be back and stay at Mimi’s House again."

"Liked the location near the zoo and park. Nice neighborhood, no more than 5 miles to all stores and several restaurants. Plenty of towels and beds were very comfortable. We did need to pick up body soap and shampoo. The grass could have been cut prior to our stay but than again there had been rain. Over all it was a nice place to stay and we would stay there again."
